Some will remember Transport Tycoon from Microprose that was quite a hit in DOS days.

So this is the open source equivalent called OpenTTD. Latest version is 0.7.3

Too bad you still need the original TTD (or obtain its files some other way).

As OpenTTD makes use of the original TTD artwork you will need the files listed
below, which you can find on a Transport Tycoon Deluxe CD-ROM.
The Windows installer optionally can copy these files from that CD-ROM.
