Going to get a PSU.

Kay, so I got my new big Tagan Seenium A+ case or whatever that I got as a shellshocker on the egg last week. Now it's time to fork out the cash for a new psu, just the next step in the build. It'll be powering a Phenom II x3 and 9600GSO in the near future, and a 4850 sometime or another. Just one disk drive and one hard drive. I have $60 cash now and will have more after Nov. 2nd.

My picks, descending from what I think is the best for me/the price to what's not the best:

Cooler Master Silent Pro 600W - Modular, not bad price, seems good - $80 shipped

Corsair VX550W - Not modular, more expensive, but I know they're awesomely made - $90 shipped

Muskin 580W - Modular, glows green, good brand, I don't really like how only the PCIe wires are plastic-sheathed, huge rebate - $76 shipped

OCZ Fatal1ty 550W - Modular, glows red, seems good, good rebate - $80 shipped

Also, the Antec 500W and the Coolmax 700W 100% modular in SK's FS/FT Thread. His 700W definately seems like the best deal, but I can't really find any info on it, I want something with an active PFC.

get the corsair and forget about it better yet wait a bit and just save up a few extra dollars and get the corsair 750watt or PC power & cooling silencer 750 both which usually go for $119 on the egg.

I already has a TX750W :shadedshu Plus, even when I have the money, I still need to get a CPU, mobo, and ram so I need to try to save.

Definitely get the Corsair, Corsair PSUs are over-rated. Even the CX400w is more than enough, I ran a 3.2ghz Q6600 and SLI 9600GSOs on a CX400. You're running a lower-power CPU and only one GSO, so any Corsair above 400w would be plenty. I probably wouldn't even get the VX550 for that build, I would probably get the VX450 because it's cheaper and you won't come close to using it at full capacity.

Get the CM Silent Pro... I have the 700W version and I can't hear it at all! Jonnyguru also gave it a really nice score.

Those OCZ PSU's are not bad for the money. I think the 750 would just be overkill for the setup, even if you get the 4850.

Yeah. I meant I already have one in my main rig, this computer will be taking the place of my second computer/my parent's computer.

Yeah, I think the CM 600W is going to be the best for the money. Even the Corsair 400W is going to be $60 after shipping.
