1TB WD Scorpio Blue at a sick price.

Just found this as I was looking for one to install in my MBP. $156 for this drive is insance, it's only $6.29 more than what newegg is asking for their 750gb scorpio blues. Lets just say I ordered one.

These are 12.5mm thick so make sure it fits if you decide to jump on one.

i have the early 2008 model and it will not fit. the late 2008 unibody should fit

Ya their's some Unibody owners that posted a review on the egg for the 750gb version and had great things to say about them. I would be pissed though if I was them and found the 1tb version for this price. :laugh:

I have a 500gb drive in my MBP now if you need it hit me up. As it'll just be laying around as a spare, kind of like the origional 250gb drive is now. :laugh:

You might want to check to make sure it fits. There is a few people posting in the review section on newegg that the 750gb version doesn't fit. None of which show that they purchased the item and may be speculating. I'll look around and see what I can find out. Think my luck is changing earlier today I couldn't find shit and now I run across this.

EDIT: Just confirmed it through about 20 different sites that the PS3 only accepts 9.5mm 2.5"Drives. That sucks!!!

no thank man, i got 2 x 7200 rpm 320's going in. one with the unibay adapter.

Nice, I was thinking about doing that. Not sure yet. Were did you get the adapter from?

The more I think about it the less I want to raid a set of 7200rpm drives. I use my battery a lot, and two of those drives would kill that.
I'm kind of curious on how fast it's going to be now. I haven't found any benchmarks on it yet. If it turns out it's slow then I'll return it. Actually when it comes in I'll load win 7 on it and run HD Tune then post back here. This 500gb drive I have now isn't bad at all with 2x250gb platters these have 333gb platters. So it should be as good if not a little better than what I have now. Duno but were going to find out.
