Hey guys. Rather than sending lengthy PM's to each buyer, I thought I'd make a general announcement. We had the remnants of "Ida" come through here on Monday/Tuesday. Long story short, our house flooded. I've had no time to do anything but clean up and work with contractors to assess and fix the damage. It's been a very stressful week, with no time to ship anything out. Things are starting to come together, and I will be shipping out items on Saturday and Monday.

Please bare with me guys. Your stuff is coming. Thanks for your understanding.

Everything is fine. It's really isolated to the finished basement. It's just been a lot of clean up, and working with contractors to figure out how to fix it, so that it doesn't happen again. It was probably a blessing in disguise since we were 2 weeks out from carpeting 800 sq. ft. in the basement. :eek:

As far as home owner insurance goes, I'm not sure if this would be covered, as we don't carry actual flood insurance.

yeah i hate to say it, but your homeowners is probably not going to replace anything. (since flood is offered by the government, most insurances wont sell coverage for it)

but at least it happened now and not after the new carpeting!!

Well I would guess it is foundation issues! Check walls in the basement for signs of cracks, and fill them as needed, and dig a 2' wide trench x 4' deep all away around the house, and use that really nasty tar like water seal coating from the base of the foundation to about 4 or 5 inches above the ground level! Rent you a tamper, start filling in the trench and tamp it for each foot of back fill. That will prevent this from being an issue in the future.

Don't let some contractor give you any shit about needing to reform walls or any shit like that Paul. I built houses for a living for over 20 years, so if you need any guidance during this contractor/homeowner communication, let me know man, I will be more than happy to discuss this with you.
