Frontlines: Fuel of War - $7.50 Steam Sale

The Frontlines game from a year and a half ago is on sale for $7.49 this weekend. It looks fairly nice in the screenshots, I'm just looking for some feedback from people who've played it as to if it's even worth this much moolah. It seems buggy from the Metacritic reviews.

This game is plagued by many mistakes made by Kaos Studios on final release. I was involved in the first to last beta and it went great until the release of the game was plagued by hardware errors from the game. The game itself is amazing but when there is nobody playing it in MP then it sucks. They have a nice map pack out for it and many patches will be needed but if you want to spend $10.00 I can send you a hard copy.

£3.75 on steam uk.

I payed £3 for it a while back. Pulled it out the bargin bin at my local gamestation. Its not a bad game really ( for £3 that is ) & theres still plenty of players online. At least there was last time i went on the game around 3 months ago.

Indeed. I bought it when it was released and it was a beta at best. I gave the game away. I do hear that it plays pretty smoothly now, I may pick it up again.

When I started to test this game it was amazing and I thought it to be the next Battlefield replacement . When they released it all changed. I supplied them with mountains of feedback along with my entire clan testing it for hours and the result was me being banned from there forum for speaking the truth. I have 2 Copies still...

I played beta, then picked it up from a friend a year or so ago...the clan and I played it for a little bit but even a couple GB worth of patches didn't fix that game. It's one of those games that could've been but never was unfortunately. It can be fun, but it wears off quickly.

I'm not in need of another FPS so much that I'm willing to put up with lots of patches and bugs. Might just skip this one.

looks bad, dull gameplay. i hated it and couldn't even sell it :/

got it free with a vid card purchase

id say its worth that much it looks great but the game play is like it was meant to be some sort of online multiplayer game its good but not the best id say its worth it at that price though, there is some fun moments depoends how you play games like that i like to duck behind cover pop a few shots of the duck back behind cover an this game play very well like that.

if you havent already bought and arnt running a quad core with gtx etc etc do not buy.....

Yea, when i loaded the first mission it stalled and I let it sit for 10 mins and no go. I was like wtf, and the opening story art thing had me interested too, and the multiplayer...wow I'd shoot at someone and everyone would be jumping across map sometimes with lag(they were low pings too apparently). Seriously this game is a mix between bf2 and bf2142. Maybe in the future I will have an ultimate quad core build to play this on. :ohwell:

pretty much like that steam lost planet deal, lost planet sucks, its boring as hell!

one of those games that got a DX10 patch and it did nothing at all

frontlines was gimmicky i dunno maybe its worth £3 but im not one to gamble

This game is no where near as bad as you guys make it sound. They patched the hell out of this game a while back and it made the game a whole new experience. The game became a lot of fun online but Ill agree it still wasn't worth the original asking price. However 7 bucks is a deal.
