To all 5970 owners - post a photo of your setup

Apart from this thread being one of awesome hardware pr0n, I really need this.

I'm afraid that were I to buy a 5970 it will have to go partly inside the HDD cage.

Need to know if this is:
1) Possible; and
2) Practical

Plus I'm sure everyone would enjoy looking at pictures of OTT hardware too.

After seeing the photo and feeling disappointed it was not that of an installed card (which you surely had for testing and reviewing), I felt mad.... yeah man I smoking right now, because I can't get one, not the price, but it's barely almost impossible to fit in the antec 900 case.

seriously the lowest I found has 21 bids at $820

People buy them up when they are in stock at retail places, then turn around and sell them on ebay for a profit, knowing that retail stores no longer have them in stock. Supply vs. demand. It's better for all that no one buy's these items from these "sellers of opportunity."

Would of though it did if you rearrange the HDD cages.

I have a GTX 295 now, it's about 10.5 inch, it has about 2 inch left (after relocation of hard drive)

The 5870 is 11.1 so it would be ok

but is there a length for the 5970, I saw some report of 13.5

In this review he has an full tower (antec 1200) and it's hard to get into, forget it I have an antec 900, I don't think I can make it work

Its hard to tell from the photo, but looks like he has his DVD drives at the top of the case.

( or the space for them)

If you rearranged the cages ( they come completely out) then you could have the empty spaces infront of the graphics.

The card is less then 5.25 thick right?

You'll have to put it in at an angle then rotate it so it alligns with the PCI-E slot, but I think it should fit this way.

I don't have my A900 anymore so can't measure.

yeah it just seems both those guys are idiots and didn't think to move the cages themselves.
