Is there online with this game and does it have a monthly fee ?. And if you do have to pay to play online can you play the SP without a fee ?.

So not true because it has no SP don't mean a game is no good it's more likely mean the SP is 10x better.

Maybe they will add MP later to it. I wish they get back on with NWN as NWN2 sucked with the new peeps.

Dont get me wrong im sure its a good game. But a game like this would of been better if it was or had multi-player, after all you do get a few followers with you in the game why dont they just make them followers as players instead? Its like buying C&C and having no Multi-player,its just not complete without it. IMO

As they can focus better one SP.. And from what i hear near every thing about it rocks. Although not to fond of the micromanagement part of it which is were i think MP would be nice.


Like i said maybe they will add it but to add it costs a lot of money and time.

^^ not really i'm one of those people who play games SP or MP with the beloved and micromanagement don't fit in our requirements lol. Had enough of that crap in GR days when some one would do it. But ya never know do ya really till you do try it. Just like real time gaming.

Shame they don't make another setting so you don't need to micromanage stuff at times.

Not saying it's a bad game not at all. With strong gameplay and story says a lot for it so i will get it just because of those reasons. BUT 2 people are required to be happy with this game so makes it more tricky.

Then again loads of people said Mass Effect was good i hated it and so did my wife.

This is true and im sure SP would be very good. Yea i have also heard this and i will find out to the full extent if this is true as i have the game.

Yea this is a shame as i just like party games when you can have ya m8s come with ya, time will tell i guess.

As iam not sure if your statement is towards Asrock or myself, Asrock is going by what he has heard and i also have done the same but i have got the game and have played a little bit of it but was really wanting it to be multiplayer. My friends all said > O sweet you got the game, can it play a LAN game? or online? And well of course i said no sorry its only Single player RTS Game. They was disappointed and we went straight on playing Borderlands and haven't looked back since.

In time i will play this game more so, but with such games like borderlands out, it just gets pushed to the side for the moment. If it had Multiplayer then it would of been a different story.

I too couldn’t stand Mass Effect…but Bioware knows how to make games so I won’t bust their chops personally.

I have just played too many fantasy based games and I have been over fantasy games for over 2 years now. Warhammer Online was my last straw and haven’t played a fantasy game since then. I watched a friend play DA:O and got bored within 10 minutes. It looked good but I just wasn’t into the combat system.

I am just more into sci-fi games. It’s hard being an MMO junky due to most MMOs being fantasy based. It’s why I played the Matrix Online and City Of Heroes/Villains for so long since they were the only real sci-fi(ish) MMOs I’ve come across (ones worth playing at least). Too much is coming out for me to care about Star Trek online too. Bioshock 2, Bad Company 2, Batlefield 1943 for the PC, and AVP > Star Trek Online especially since Cryptic and Atari are working on it and putting it out. I feel bad for all the Star Trek nerds out there because Champions Online was EPIC FAIL and I’m sure STO will be too.

I've have both actually, they are both good but completely different games. Imo Dragon Age has a much longer lifespan and despite being SP it still has a much higher replay value than MP in borderlands considering there is no dedicated servers and there's no matchmaking system, it takes out the fun since there's not as much people playing publicly online, its almost a ghosttown tbh.

You should give DA:Origins a try Melvis, I have high bets that you will get addicted and hooked on the game for days.


EDIT: Oh yeah Mass Effect sort of aims for a niche audience , I definitely wasn't into the whole seriousness of outer space and the cheesy lazer gun sounds.

They sure do, which is why i wish they would get back on NWN as that game totally rocked. ME was the 1st game of theirs i did not like.

Funny saying ME made me think of Win ME which i also did not like ha.
