i realy hope they dont make another one after playing all of them since ps1 days, the game is getting boring and no matter how big they make it, its run out of ideas in my opinion.

Right? that was the last game that had the "gta feeling" afterwards...meh not so much. GTA IV was fine but not as good as VC & SA, they should just remake gta SA and replace the gangs with mafia, and well of course another location, also if we gotta trade better GFX for map size/+ veichles? I say "Go ahead!", the GFX would probably still be good.

Chances are same engine, bigger maps, new vehicles and longer story. That's how it worked with previous games GTA III, Vice city and San Andreas all used the same engine IV introduces a new engine and the trend continue's.

as to when, well we can only guess at this point. Rockstar have not said anything regarding a release date for the next one and i agree with DrPepper; they'll make a new one with the current engine. if i were yo guess then i'd say mid 2012

Rockstar always wasn't too open with release dates or infos in general. Which is kinda good. Its like "hey by the way we made this GTAV, its out tomorrow" instead of announcing it and then ten years later say "yeah sorry we started over again".

2011. Shouldn't take too long to make a new map and story considering the engine is already made. They're biggest problem is with the xbox360 disc size.

If you have to sign up for 3 different things things in the NEXT version of GTA they can go to heck.

Seriously, the past three games that I have bought have had nothing but issues:

Aion --> bots from hell

LFD2 ---> crashed to desktop with the cheap ....... not offering a refund

GTA4 --> Makes you sign up for every bleeding thing in the world, and doesn't allow you to save your ....... game without signing up for online crap including "Windows Live".

Seriously, how long are people going to pay for this nonsense?

No idea what Aion is but here we go

L4D2 = It's been fixed with a patch like what happens with most games.

GTA4 = You can make an offline Windows live account. Even making an online one isn't a problem because it takes a whole 30 seconds. Only reason you would have a problem is if it was pirated.

You don't know the GTA feeling then. The GTA feeling is speeding, jumping out of your car and hitting your buddy with a rocket launcher, yell "take that you sucker" and enjoy every single "wasteeeed" from other peoples speakers. And when they get lucky you tell them to go fuck themselves and don't go for the rocket launcher again because at least one person will be camping it. It became a completely different game since part 3.

The point was (with respect) why I had to make a rockstar account, and then make a windows live account, and then make a windows live mail account. And why I couldn't save a game without making all those accounts.

Oh, and I forgot the last one.. Crysis wanted to install spyware on my computer.

Yeah crysis does make you install that gayspy thing. The rockstar thingy is to try prevent copyright but they could have done a better job.

Ah memories... when you try tro grab that electro-gun thing, and you're almost there, and your mate suddenly appears, runs you over and grabs the gun. THose were epic times, back in the schools computer lab.

. Now that i think about it....i really never felt compelled to get 6 start in GTA IV, do you get the Rhinos?

No you don't have to sign up for anything, you just need to make an offline windows live profile and yes you can save the game with it, no need to sign in, you dont even need the internet to play

GTA is like a funny commercial, its great for a little while, but please don't wear it out. With that being said, Rockstar, save your resources, new series please.

The GTA series is one of my favorites. I recently got a ps3 so I have the pleasure of playing gta4 during my down time. I love the updated physics and graphics and the fact that the game isn't so cheezy (or as cheezy) or cartoony as it was. There are still a few annoyances, however....the fact that you can't save anywhere at anytime is a bit odd to me still, the auto aim still sucks and lets face it, half the game is damn near impossible without cheat codes. I am glad they implemented the quick phone cheat menu though. Way easier than having to remember all those button combination's IMO.

Regardless, I'm stuck on GTA4 and PC games until God of War 3 comes out
