The Xtreem Series from Team Group marks the company's high-end line-up of memory for the newest plattforms available. We rip apart, bench and push the memory to the limit, to see how it ticks below the surface of the thick, high quality heatspreaders.

Lovely kit. :) I wonder, if those Hypers are fragile as those before.. It would be interesting to test this kit on P55 (even if its tri-channel). Cause it doesn´t have problem with uncore and such.. Having memory on more than 2000MHz on i7 is bit difficult. My C0 is able to run that, but voltage needed is more than I want to use.

Nice review anyway. I think that thermaltape issue can be fixed, by adding thicker one.. heatspreaders look very similar to those on Cellshocks. :)

Well we will be taking a look at low voltage dual channel kits right after CES. Even some that run below the JEDEC of 1.5V.

As for the heatsink, the quality equals that of the Cellshocks, but the latter used actual thermalpaste on their products, which made contact with the IC, in this case there is no contact. Sure you can "mod" it to fix things, but that is not the point of the review ^^.

We will also upgrade the cooling after CES, so that we can push the i7 plattform far enough to review 2133 MHz memory for example.

It was just fixing idea, ofc its bad that manufacturer let this happen.

Cooling upgrade? Single-stage, or just water? :)

Under 1.5V, I guess you mean "ECO" from G.Skill. :) It OCes nicely as you´ll find. :D

Well, I´ll be happy to read another review.

Water, although singe-stage may be in the cards after that...we will see.

Can't seem to find these kits anywhere yet. Gonna try'em out if I can buy them somewhere.
