is that better guys? if u can see it now, this is gonna be for my G/F. Am gonna buy a video card after when i can afford it. She just needs something for the internet and some Warcraft in the future (i dont wanna give her lappy back lolz).

If you want to go cheap well hell why not? But for $5 more you could get the athlon II x2 250 and it has a higher clock rate, I think 3.0, maybe I m wrong. check it out.

I was gonna do a slight o/c on the dual core (my budget is 150 max and im at 148) and i was also going with the oem version as i have a cooler thats better than stock.

I want you to hear me out. Your girlfriend will "love you long time" for giving her the most flexible chipset/cpu combo on the planet. With HD4200 onboard, it trumps the 8100 IGP. The SB710 chipset will unlock the 45nm Athlon x2 5000+ to a Phenom FX-5000 Quad with L3 enabled. Mobo still takes DDR2, has HDMI, and runs hybrid crossfire (for future upgrades). This is a no-brainer for you. Trust me, I would not steer you wrong. Below is my CPU-Z screen shot of my unlocked 45nm X2 5000+. PM me if you have any questions.

Hey Buck thanx for the quick response. Ima still go w/ Athlon II x2, but I will buy that mobo as i prefer ATI (cause of my familiarity with them). It is a nicer board for the few extra $$$.

amazing deal MSI 785GTM does it need a bios update or the one it comes with is good to unlock Athlon x2 5000+ to a Phenom FX-5000 Quad(how good of a chance for stable cores)
there any other MB brands that will do the same? like GIGABYTE GA-MA785GM-US2H ?
other cpu's as well?

There is an excellent chance for unlocking(similar to P II x2 550) and receiving stable cores(YMMV). Unlocking should work on any SB750 or SB710 chipsets that support ACC and have the proper Bios updates.

It has the sideport memory and the 4200 and is the same price as the MSI.
