Hey all,

I FINALLY got my eyefinity setup working but found out that the monitor on the displayport flickers on and off from time to time. Seems to be around 5 min intervals. I'm using VGA monitors so I got a VGA to Displayport adaptor which I've read works.

I've also read that it can be the firmware on the GFX card that can be a problem. Anyone had experiences with this?

Is there a active adaptor for vga though? As I've seen 15 pound adaptors work providing they are VGA-displayport.

And its 2 19" cibox monitors and 1 samsung 19" monitor. All widescreen.

my guess is its a problem with the adaptor.

Not a general problem, a specific one - like its loose, or its cheap + crap, or its a powered adaptor getting fed dirty power, etc

meh I might as well just get my second 5770 back for a extra 40 quid then fork out for a 80 quid active DP adapter.

Doesn't matter that much you buy the active Displayport to DVI adapter & then put an DVI to VGA adapter on top of it it should work just fine.

BTW:If all monitors are widescreen (LCD?) they should have all DVI's ports...

the active adaptor wont allow VGA. you need a specific displayport to VGA adaptor.

its the same as the whole HDMI to VGA thing - unlike DVI, they removed to backwards compatibility with VGA
