how are peoples experience's with open box cpu's from newegg? I don't know that along with Hdd's is something i would not feel conformable buying ob...but maybe thats just me

I don't know why open box CPU's have been popping up, I thought it was no returns unless defective. I asked myself this question when they had open box i7 920's for sale a while back.

Anyway, I haven't had any issues buying open box from the Egg.

Really ? I seriousley doubt that, though thats not a statement, I am open to facts, I would seriousley love for you to show me some on that statement, I hardly think an Athlon II compares to an E8** in anyway at all.

Athlon II is between 5xxx,6xxx and 7xxx not match for E8xxx. Not comparable at same frequency or at max overclocked frequency.

I think it is and I have owned both . Remember this is a 60.00 cpu against a 160.00 cpu http://www.neoseeker.com/Articles/Hardware/Reviews/aii_250/ not the exact same regor cpu but close. Thats this 60.00 cpu can match or surpass the e8400 stock performance when oced is amazing and even un oced it beats the stock e8400 in some benches .

I would say a good percentage of the x2/x3 45nm AMD chips are returned because the deactivated cores would not unlock. I am one that like's to unlock the free cores, so this is the exact reason I avoid open box AMD CPU's.
