Fill out your System Specs and we can be of more help.

For the most part, minimum specs given out by manufacturers are worthless for the most part. What settings are you playing on?

Click User CP. Look for Edit System SPecs on the left. Fill em in, save.

As for settings, what settings are you trying to use in game?

Yes, let us know now what you're running.

<- I played through GTA IV @ 1920x1200 with 'decent' quality settings on the system listed in my specs. Could have up'ed it a bit, but my 512MB VRAM was limiting.

I played 1440x900 GTA 4 maxed out on latest patch with 1 GTX 260 and a q9550 at 4.0Ghz and got stuttering. But its mainly the 2gb of ram causing this.

If i up my system ram to 4gb, it might not stutter anymore, but i know what you mean buy the stuttering problem, i hated it.

I gave up on GTA4. It used to stutter and look ugly on the 8800GT. Now on the 5970 it doesn't stutter but still looks ugly!

System Ram most probably. Get at least 4gb in that system. Was stuttering as well in 2GB back then, upgraded to 4gb, and it solved the problem.

Turning off your file paging does not even help as well.

You need to go into your User CP and tick the box to make your system specs visible to the rest of us ;)

Try turning off the replay option(sorry I can't remember exactly what it is called), I remember that being a real system killer.

for me everything was really fluid, and relatively crisp (not the shadows) but ist started to stutter, each time before it crashes to a black screen. really good game. really poor coding tho,it seems:(
