As our previous request for a specific line of pentium D's was goin no where, we are offering a but-load of stuff in exchange for:
A) Any Core 2 (dual or better) proc w/ VT tech and supporting mobo
B) Any k10 / k10.5 based Proc & supporting mobo [preferably am2/am2+]
C) (See below pics for offer "C")
The reason we require these is that our management will not spend anything for us to update our highly overtaxed file-server and POS terminal (via VM) as its a "non-work related system". So me and toastem2004 went through our parts stash and have the following to offer:
This is a Tyan MPX Tiger Mobo w/ Athlon XP 1800+ MP's {1.53GHz}. Included is 1GB of PC-2100 ECC Ram (will take up to 2gb including non-ecc), a Geforce 6200, ethernet card, 4-port USB 2.0 card, and an ESS sound card. We've even installed Win7 and had it running decently well w/ 2gb of ram. There are 2 minor issues: 1) upon entering the BIOS you have approx 15-20 sec to edit items before it freezes. other than that, the system was out previous file server and ran for over 2 years, even with the BIOS freeze issue. 2) the onboard nic is a little flaky, hence the add-in nic.
This is an Intel DG965WH board w/ a Pentium D 830 3GHz.
Assortment of Proc's: (Top Left - Sempron 3000+ 1.6Ghz - AM2) (Top Right - Pentium 4 521 - 2.8GHz - 775) (Bottom Right - Athlon 3200+ 2GHz - 939) (Bottom Left - Athlon 3500+ 2.2GHz - 939 {lapped}
At a minimum, we require a AM2+ board as we have an Athlon 2 250. If someone has a board that we can use, we will gladdly give the proc's and Tyan board for {option C}. All items listed will be given to anyone who can provide a board & proc. We will also have this system crunching 24/6 (sundays are patches and back-ups). Thank you all and let the trading begin!
