*THIS MIGHT NOT BE TRUE, JUST AN OBSERVATION OF MINE*

I just realised, the whole downloading MW2 again thing, when you pause it, it still holds the bandwidth it was using. For example; if it was downloading at 500kb/s, and you've only got a total of 800kb/s, while MW2 is paused like that, Steam will only allow you to use your spare 300kb/s.

This is what it looks like, though I could be wrong. MW2 is holding paused at 260kb/s for me atm, and I've got two other downloads which are barely getting 50kb/s each. My limit is about 600kb/s so yeah.

MW2 has also been prioritized since it started first, and is draining 80% of my bandwidth. Oh and best thing is, it was already set to "do NOT keep this game updated".

Feels like yet another slap in the face for buying it.

I looked through all the menu's and have yet to see anything about beta participation, any hints here?

Go to Steam (top left corner) >> Settings >> Account Tab > Beta Participation > Change > UI Update > restart when prompted > done

Trying to search 'Current Players' in the overlay while ingame crashes almost 100% of the time. It might be modern, but still doesn't support 7's Snap, so great work Valve :slap:

I'm with you Mussels.

Details View: Brings some interesting new feature to bear, but it is hard to navigate.
List View: WTF is the point? The old UI's Games list uses FAR fewer pixels per game. One didn't have to scroll nearly as much.
Grid View: Hot damn! What an utter waste.

Colors and everything else are off too, but this is beta so I pray that this will change in time.

New Steam UI cliffs: Freaking crappy wothless sodding piece of nearly useless shit.

I'm not sure what the issues is with the list being too small, I have like 10 games on my list and there still looks to be room for like 10 more games to show. You don't really need to see more than 20 games without scrolling do you? Also Steams colors have always been off, they have horrible color choice, a dark grey/green and orange, I mean really, there is no way to fix that, this does at least a bit better.

Meh, I couldn't take it for very long. I'm back with the good stuff now. I hope they do make a lot of changes before it's released, or maybe just have the new stuff as an option to where you can use it only if you want to.

I really would like the option to go back once they release this. Very fancy, hard to find stuff. I really just want a list of games, yet just a list. Not pictures, if it has cloud or not... I don't care, GIVE ME A LIST OF GAMES. Simple is better. This is not simple. It eats more memory as well. Not cool.

It finally fixed my problem of when downloading a steam game

it would cut my connection from any browser,msn,xfire ect.

The list of your games is on the left hand side, can you not see them? The center info along with showing who on your friendslist also has the games is nice info, before there wasnt really any info given along with the games, just a rating. I'm not sure whats hard to find or fancy, seems the exact same to find anything as it was before, just a better look. People are scared of change it seems, remember the world is still flat! :eek:

I love the new look. I hated the plain old UI of the old Steam. I welcome change as I for one, hate to stay the same over a certain amount of time.

I love the new UI and I've pretty much learned it but I have 1 question.

You know the set of arrows going left and right at the top right corner of steam. Its gone and I'd really like to know how I can make it small again.

Just to clarify, it would expand and contract steam. I want to do that again. WHERE IS IT?

That feature is gone now. There is a mass of complaints about it on the Steam forums.

Well that most likely means it will be back. What I always felt they needed to do with Steam was get rid of being able to buy your games through the client. Just have a page that shows their hot deals that flash by and leave those so you can click them to go to Steams main site. Then have maybe 1 link that can be clicked to go to all the game buying sections, or have a few links, like one for games under $10, one for games under $5, and then one for all games.
