New Stream SDK for ATI

I reported this to the news a day or so ago but I guess it wasnt news worthy. Anyway ATI has a new Stream SDK 2.01 dated 3/29/10. Heres whats new....

What’s New in v2.01

Update release for ATI Stream SDK v2.0.
Support for Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® 5.3.
Support for Ubuntu® 9.10.
Support for debugging OpenCL™ with GDB on x86 CPUs under Linux® (see application note for more details).
Preview: Support for OpenCL™ / Microsoft® DirectX® 9 interoperability. Please see this knowledge base article for more information about this preview feature.
Additional OpenCL™ samples:
BoxFilter
FFT
GaussianNoise (under cpp_cl)
URNG
Stream KernelAnalyzer with OpenCL™ support (available for download separately from Stream KernelAnalyzer Product Page).
Various OpenCL™ compiler and runtime fixes and enhancements (see developer release notes for more details).
Support for ATI Radeon™ HD 5670 GPU and ATI Radeon™ HD 5570 GPU.

Ok, all great and all, but why aren't we seeing better support for ATI Streams like with CUDA ?
I mean i haven't seen a single program using it apart from stupid stuff like those folding apps.
It seems like the tech is there but no one seems to care about it.

Only "Ati Stream Video Converter" and Cyberlink Mediashow Espresso that's use ATI Stream today, and no folding apps, but that not for long....

ATI will make their card's compatible with folding apps (but that drivers is still under development)

I realy dont know much about stream but i did install it awhile back, I dont do any folding or use any apps that you talked about so is there realy any other benifit to me haveing it installed? is it helping my gameing or benchmarks in any way? like i said I know nothing about it or is it better for me to uninstall it completely if i dont realy use it?

Anyhoo, this SDK with 10.3a's are awesomesauce. Well, for some reason the Xfire app. profiles give me the problems they are supposed to fix, but I have no problems without it so... win.

And yes, this has been around a month or so, but not to be confused with the betas.
