Nvidia will have a dual GPU card ? If YES... is worth to wait ?

...or should I consider the purchase of a GTX 480 ?

I'm waiting for the dual and are impatient because I want to play Crysis 2 with DX11.

It might happen, but more likely with a Fermi revision (GTX475/485). Then again, some said they'd never make a GTX 295 when the GTX 280's came out. I'm sure there will be one again, just not very soon.

I would suggest waiting. Right now, the GTX 480s are basically being product tested on consumers, and they are going to do a lot of work to get their next refresh working a lot cooler and a lot less power hungry (if they know what's good for them). Even if they never release a dual GPU card, a GTX 485 would be a much better buy and worth the wait than a GTX 480 in my opinion.

If you look at the GPU die size and the ring of memory surrounding the GPU, the PCB would have to be enormous, not to mention the heatsink needed and number of power connectors to meet the ATX current standard.

Could happen, but it's not going to be pretty.

Enabling Quad SLi on the GTX480 leads me to believe they won't have a dual GPU offering from the current 480 revision. Maybe a slightly underclocked 470 version though. Similar to 5970 using 5850 clocks. Still unlikely as the yields are still so low they probably need to sell serious amounts of single cards to even get in the black on this series. I don't think they have enough usable optimum cores to start making a dual GPU card.

Why on earth are you impatient?
Crysis 2 is only scheduled to release in November.
If you're impatient now, you'll be dead from a stress-induced heart attack before the game is even released.

You want a card for Crysis 2?
Easy. When the game comes out, check all the benches and see wich card is better suited for it.
By following graphic card trends, I'm pretty sure the fastest card by then will not be a GTX480, and probably it won't even be Fermi-based.
