I think i am going to stick with crossfire.. I know i will eventually pick up a second card, and then do some crossfire between them. As for the Ram.. Yea, i think it was a good find.. then i realized i can't use it with the board i had originally planned to go with. This board.

Then i found
Kingston Technology Kingston ValueRAM 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel Kit System Memory - Retail
. A good friend of mine swears by kingston, and it's only abotu $10 more, so not that bad.

BUT if i do decide to go with the cheaper ram, i'll look into the board you suggested. Thank you for your input.

Right now i am look at Sound Cards, and debating if i want one or to stick with the motherboards sound card. I am only getting a 3-set speaker system to go with my 2 speakers already.. SO 4 speakers, and 1 sub.. And i believe both boards can support that.

get the hell away from kingston  , you can get better ram for a cheaper price than kingston

AM2 is the future, and i advise it for personnal experience, but if you don't want, then i can't do nothing ;)

AM2 is a socket type. It is basically a 939 that takes ddr2 ram. I have one. The board must be AM2 and the cpu must be as well.

AM2 ram is ddr2 ram.

Ah.. OK.. I am looking at something like this right now.

I am looking at graphics cards as well for crossfire support in the future, and stuck between Radeon 1600 Pro & x1800 GTO

They both got like 50+% review on Newegg, so i am torn.. But someone said the 1600 couldn't run WoW without overheating, and I played wow on medium settings on the computer i am usin g now.. So... I guess ill need a cooling system for my video card if that's possible. -.-;

it only overheats if:
the cooler is misplaced
bad case cooling
low quality heatsink

go for a x1650xt ;)

and if it overheats in wow (wich i doubt) it overheats in every game (wich i also doubt)

well

if you have a $1500 budget and you dont need a monitor or a case then by all means go with a conroe chip!!! and put two 7900gtos in SLI with the ocz 700 watt gamestream. make sure you get the new 680i nvidia chip tho so you can get an 8800 in a year.

Yep I read a review where an e6300@ 2.9 wiped the floor with Amd x2 3800@ 3.0 and I know the e6300 could oc more than that.
e6300 costs just $185, though a great overclocking duel pci-e board will cost you a little over $200. maybe throw in some extra $$ get a ds-3 board ($150) and 1900 series xt/xtx card.

Mr Chewy. Change your pic to the cat. Its soooooo cute. I look you as Chewy the cat  And get your ass to msn now xD. You should go for the X1650 since you dont need a crossfire card too.

if you want to stay on 939 get an opty 165 it is about the same price as what you were looking at. am2 get a 3700 or higher if you have a local frys they have been selling 2gb dual channel PQI turbo ddr2 800 for $200 after rebate also teh x1800GTO is better than the x1600pro but possible not the x1650xt try 2 of those on that board you showed i think that comes near to $1500 if you run xfire x1650xt
