Neon ( Lights ) Issue

So , yesterday i bought 1 Revoltec Ultra Bright Light ( Blue ) , i installed and it worked great ! , but now , i just wake up and it doesn't bright too much , opaccity i say ,

maybe the neon its broken ? i think my PSU its not the problem .. help!

If I am interpreting your message correctly, you found the light to be dull after the PC being off for a period of time.

Depending on the ambient temperature of your room, you may find that the cathode IS very dull when it first turns on - this is very normal for cheaper cathode tubes in low temperatures.

Even temperatures as low as 15 ~ 20 C can have quite an effect on cheap tubes, and the ones used in PC case lighting are very seldom of any substantial quality.

Normally allowing the tube to run for a few minutes gets it back up to full brightness, as it will warm itself up in time.

Well , my room temp is 24 - 28ºC , i thought that if i let the tube warm up it would work as you said , but nothing ^^" , guess is just the tube its not very good :/ ,

i turned on my pc 3 hours ago and nothing , doesn't bright

Yeah but considering he's from cuba, temps may not be so low, there are issues with like you said, cheap cathodes, I've remarked in some builds that they lose brightness very quick. Maybe thats the issue.

I have also ran across this problem in the past. The cheapo no-name ones are notorious for losing their brilliance over a short amount of time, but even the "good" Logisys ones do it. The blue also seems to dim quicker than others. The red/orange ones seemed to last a while longer, and I have never had the white ones dim out on me.

and 1 more thing , i hace also another 3 tubes , 2 green and 1 tri color , i bought them in greece ( 8 months ago ) and they are ok , i think the one i bought yesterday its shit !! lol
