I was about to pay the cheap 3 dollars a month to get Skypes PC to Land line Phone service.

Of course Skype already has free pc to pc calls.

Mediaring Talk will even beat that and give you pc to phone for free.

( they also do pc to pc for free)

I thought it would bee cool if I'm sitting in a coffee shop enjoying the free coffee shop internet and I wanted to call Honey Pot and ask her what to bring home for dinner.

Now Skype will do Phone to PC for 3 dollars a month..I don't know if this company does that.

Still it's better than nothing when you don't own a cell phone. Free stuff Rocks.

Edit:

I fount out it's only 1 minute at a time, but you can call the person back. ( calling to a land line phone that is)

Found another, not sure about time limit:

I should have called this thread, Free Pc to Phone or something like that. I am going to test as many as i can find and hopefully I will find the best one that gives you the longest talk time for pc to phone for free.

Here's one that gives you 5 minutes per call but it is ad supported with a 15 to 20 second ad before each call.

I can't either for pc to pc but lets say you really need to make a pc to phone call and you haven't got 3 bucks a month for the skype service or don't have a credit card or a paypal account.

That's when these would come in handy.

( I am adding to the list as I find them - haven't tested them yet.. I will edit and remark on them when tested)

I just like playing with free cool stuff.

For $3 a month skype cannot be beat.

And if you do not bank or have a credit card then all you need is this.

Oh it's a pre-paid credit card that you get through your paycheck info. Neat idea.

That's great if you need one and have a regular paycheck. Many folks don't so these phone apps will be good for them.

For myself I have the cash on my card but hehe.. if I'm only going to use this things a few times a month, I can use the free apps and save the 3 bucks.

Nice post. In addition to Skype, has anyone tried using gomeetnow desktop sharing service? It has free audio conferencing as well.
