[WTB][US] Broken Logitech G9?

Does anyone have a dead Logitech G9? The cable on mine has frayed and the mouse doesn't work any more. Its out of warranty so I decided to take it apart. I found out that there is a simple connection for the USB cable going in, and I could easily salvage that from an otherwise broken G9.

Thanks,
Indybird

I was going to suggest this, but I think it's dead.

I just had the same problem as you with my G5, indybird. The mouse kept powering on and off when the cord was tugged. Trying to cut and repair the cord around the part that was giving me problems didn't go so well... I found a refurbished (in great condition) G5 on ebay for around $35 shipped.

Maybe you could find a cheap used or refurbished logitech mouse on ebay or even just the power cord from one? If I had to take a guess I'd say that a $5 logitech mouse on ebay uses the same power cord as a G9.

I tried popping open a $10 Logitech USB mouse I had and the connector was too big, so I'd be kinda wary about spending money on anything thats not a G9 really.

Thanks for the idea though...
