I just recently got interested in how computers work & what not. I really want to learn how all the components of a gaming PC work & which ones are compatible with one another so I can get started on my first build. I know some basic knowledge for computers, but not enough to be confident in the building process. Would anyone like to lecture me on what I should know before I go out buying random parts & then finding out that none of them are compatible with an ATX model...
I bought an Antec Nine Hundred BareBones Case for my base of starting my build & the book called "Building a PC for Dummies" 5th Edition (which suits me well for being a noob).
I would like to know what MoBo's would be best for high pro-gaming with all the the bells & whistles. I'd also would like to know what type of Video & Sound cards I would need? Where can I find a decent priced PSU for my Antec Nine Hundred? (I'd prefer at least a 650-850w PSU) What type of Chip Set would I need to get? Is it any difficult to connect all the wiring for the build? Will I be royally screwed if one of the components burn out or if one has a short/ does the waranties cover stuff like that?
I honestly don't mind spending a little extra to create the PC I need, but if anyone knows of a good/great site that I can get a good deal on all this stuff, would be much appreciated
Well I don't want to write a friggin novel on here lol so If anyone would like to lend a helping hand to a newbie like me I would much much appreciate your surpirior knowledge
