Just a quick FYI, Phase Change is NOT for 24/7 usage, it's for benching and that's it!

this is absolutely not true, there are guys been running phase 24/7 on their rigs for years, is it practical not really but it can be done. That said I would go watercooling myself, I prefer high end wc gear personally, but its all in what you can afford and that kind of stuff.

That is what I had been told (about Phase Cooling). I was looking at some basic 24/7 custom coolers for around $700 or so, but funding fell through (so now am looking at water again).

What are the parts I have linked looking like? Low-Mid-High end (guessing low-mid for those prices). What does "high end wc gear" look like (some examples of parts)? Thanks for your help.

Yeah they maybe ok , I would caution against them as they are sealed unit's , They have pumps built into the WB ( making them heat up more ) and they also use smaller tubing , and a small rad , All this IMHO makes for a cooler that is no better than an AIR cooler . Also taking into account that you can not add to them makes me stay well away from them .

If you go water cooling do not get any self contained units always better to put the system together piece by piece .

:respect: How old is it, and what kind of specs does it have (I know a lot of custom ones are built for specific CPU's and wattages etc)? Can you get some pics up?

Well, this may be a bad question, but how long do you think the life expectancy would be? And does it come with everything needed to mount it on my computer (backing, insulation, correct mounting bracket, etc)? And what does "a bit old" mean lol ;)

*EDIT*
Are those flip-flops included? LOL!! o_O

Its got a s775 mount oyu would need to find a mount for your rig for am3 I built my own. I also started going thru my specs on it r507 gas and a larger heat exchanger and a larger fan combo. As for life expectancy as long as you keep up with it they last almost forever. Its like a fridge or an ac

So the mount is just the block (like the white one in your pic) that holds it onto the processor? What kind of insulation would I need for the motherboard (or does it come with some)? Also, what do you mean by "as long as you keep up with it"? Do you mean maintaining it? If so, what kind of maintenance does it require? Thanks.

*EDIT*
Sorry for all the questions, but how large is it (want to make sure it will fit in my workspace lol), and how long is the hose that attaches to the processor (my case is rather large, and the processor sits near the top, so it is like 20in from the ground..)?

by keep up with it just make sure it doesn't leak and if it ever gets low (wont happen for a while like 10+ yrs) refill it. on the mobo there are a couple of things you can do XS has a really good thread on it. i chose to use the white block its a bit ghetto and not the exact piece that they came with but if you really really want true mount for it they go on ebay or a couple of people on XS maybe able to fab on up.

length wise it got to the cpu in my full tower rocketfish case no probs. size wise its like 8" tall and about the size of a case the rest of the way around.

everything works really well on it with no load i got -76C on the digi read out and it comes with a spare controller hell i will even throw in the secondary PSU to start it up instead of using the units delay.

them in the past and just got another one and love them they are good cheap rads.

http://img.techpowerup.org/100617/DSCF3140.jpg

just finished my build today if you want i can list specs off for you but vs the V10 with a modified TEC in it i am running 3-4C cooler using water than the V10 could muster at idle and 5-10C cooler at load

Is this the rig you just posted, man o man just finished and time to break it down...
your killin me... :banghead::rockout::rolleyes:

I think you found a buyer :D. Few more small questions (I can PM you), but I am pretty much sold :rockout: I have actually made a phase cooler (don't trust my big pc on it though lol), and having one touched by Chilly1 would be amazing :respect:
