Video resolution issue

Hi,

Currently I am playing games on LCD TV that supports 1080p (1920x1080). Some games have issue when being played on this resolution so i want to lower it. What is the next proper resolution after 1920x1080? For example lower resolution for 1280x1024 is 1024x768. Anything in between would make picture stretched or compressed in length or width.

If the monitor supports it, try 1680x1050

I got my resolution from the list in Windows. It says 1360x768. Kinda weird because I've seen both.
