Well back when I was running 2 X1900s in Crossfire on water they idled in the 40s and loaded in the 70's which was pretty reasonable as far as I was concerned and that was with them bios flashed to 675/775.

Maybe the video card is just dying, its a pretty old card so its probably on its last legs anyways.

Sell it and buy a new card?

Those are normal temps for that card. You may not like them, but they are normal. The card is not dying. That particular GPU is notorious for running very hot.

have you cleaned the heatsink? like take off the gaurd n wipe away the dust that's accumulated? as well as taking yoru case fans out and cleaning the dust off them? its simple but sometimes works miracles. My old 7800GTX was running same temps as your x1900 roughly, cleaned it and load temps dropped to 86. Still hot but a lot better. Also about flashing, it won't help with temps unless you could software volt mod it n flash the chip to a lower voltage but that's only with newer cards.

Quoted for truth. Everything is normal.

+1 Was pretty much my point. They are hot cards as for flashing that won't accomplish much. Raising the clocks are only going to raise the temperatures further.

I could only advise making sure your rad is nice and dust free. I know with my current case/water setup my rads get pretty dusty pretty quickly(tho it keeps the inside of my case virtually dust free :p )

And reapplied a thin layer of new thermal paste I assume?

I'm not sure what your running for a block either can't tell from your pictures.

I was running a pair of these.

I still have the whole water rig in a box actually.

Well high ambient room temperatures won't help you any on water that is for sure. I mean on my current rig I only have my CPU on water but it generally idles 3-5 degrees above the room temp at idle.

Tho you bring up a good point on summer...Now I wanna pull apart my rad and clean it...(no easy job on my case...)
