Well recently my best friend pc died, his house got flooded and took out most of his hardware, only thing the actually survive is the ram, he got this in 2007 but still was powerfull enough to game everything at 1600x1200
his rig consited of:
E6700 OC to 3.2
Asus Striker
2 8800GTX SLI
8 gb of ocz blades 1150
Corsair TX 750w
He spentt over $2500 on this rig, but now his budget is about 700$ and thats the absolute tops for him right now, I'm thinking he should walk the amd road.
and I proposed this to him.
Athlon II x3 440 80$
Asus M4N75TD 115$
2x2gb GSkill Trident 1600 100$
Asus 460 GTX 768 210$ some sli action later...
XFX 750w PSU 140$
250gb HDD 40$
Total 690$ all from a local store in Honduras.
My question is will this rig actually perfom better than his old rig in gaming?
Do you have a better build? if so please post it just watch the buget $700 tight.
You can use newegg as a reference it's usually 10 to 15$ more expensive here.
Only thing is he just doesn't like Ati, and actually had hard time convincing him to go amd, so I've given up on the topic, he is as irrational as a apple fanboy on this
Thanks guy's
