nah man, nvidia follow this forum like hawks, now that they know that ATi will be the clear winner they know what they were going to do will not work and they can do something else.... right?

maybe we can do something to prevent this alternate reality. Firstly, we'll need a mod to delete this thread so no one can see it. Secondly, we'll need to unfortunately track down everyone who has read this thread and, how should this be put, coerce them into not mentioning it to nvidia. Third, we apply duct tape where needed to the ever-tearing galaxy and everything will be made right once more.

nvidia can release a dual gpu card if they choose ppl seem to forget the 4870x2 could hit 380w load so nvidia COULD they just havent ... yet

yeah but the 480 / 470 has lost NVDIA and its shareholders alot of money overall, at this point they're not concerned with throwing good money after bad, im sure their working furious to redeem themselves with 28nm and get the jump on ATI, especially since it appears NVDIA will not be releasing another 40nm release unlike ATI, so in theory they can get the jump on ATI to the next nm, of course their is the ever present danger of early adoption suicide, time will tell, all i can say at this point AMD shares are down to the 6 dollar area, and IMO very very cheap espeically since i think in 2011 they'll easily put up revenue of .80 cents a share, time to load up on amd stock, id still sell NVDIA short even though its down alot

NVIDIA needs about 18 months or more to get into the game and release a Fermi 2 or something. Such as a quick re-design, but we are talking about QUICK.
Tweaking Fermi over and over again won't cut it IMO, there's a design flaw and NVIDIA needs to go way back & solve the issue. Or if they plan on a complete brand new design scrapping Fermi all together, well we are talking about more than 2-3 years time B4 we see something from them.

Since Fermi 1 was a complete failure, I would name whatever they have planned something else to disassociate itself. Though something interesting about NVIDIA even in hard times, they seem to always manage to get something competitive out the door in terms of Price/Performance.

It's not my problem if you are an id**t. hihi

Not personally interested in rumor pics but if this turns out to be true then I hope it's priced competitively.

So it was apparently good that I held on to my 4850s instead of grabbing the 5850s. 6850s here I come. :D

I might do the same if I'm building a new rig.

Same here. They even ran it on Vista  Ouch

I think I will grab a pair of 6850s when they arrive, and keep my 940BE until Bulldozer arrives, then move the 6850s to the Bulldozer rig and slap the 4850s back in the 940 rig. Bulldozer + HD6000 series will hopefully be all win. :toast:

More new 6800 benchs, wowsers!

IT CAN PLAY CRISIS!

That's a sweet card :D

Interesting...let's hope they're real :P

i might postulate its an intentional leak by ATI, reveling superior bench's now would be in their best interest, being its too close to release for NVDIA to do anything about it and, releasing these now would cause alot of potential NVDIA purchases to be held over for the 6000 release, in other words its in their best interest

Do we need a new thread? It was already posted in the existing thread.

I posted the link here. I wasn't too specific because I don't like to hype up rumors.

Yeah, that's strange. Vista for Crysis and Windows 7 for Unengine.... Why the two operating systems I wonder? Makes it less believable..

yea ill probably go 6k series and sell my 5850s cheap since there reference cards and both can do over 950 core easy just as a multi monitor user and NOT eyefinity wise the flicker drives me up the wall so hopefully i can upgrade and sell these 5850s cheap at around $200 a pop hopefully... and if those benchs ARE true it would make it worth while to me even a single 6870 overclocked would probably provide me performance close to 5850 stock crossfire in terms of mediocure scaling good scaling tho the 5850s i have a feeling would easily jump ahead

sorry i skimmed right past it didnt notice, i think alot of others did too

My biggest concern is here is that it's DX11 performance would put this card right on par with the Nvidia's Current top card Gen the GTX 480. While it might produce faster and a better gaming experience in non-DX11 games....DX11 and Tessellation is the wave of the future.

And if the second Gen DX11 cards are only producing these results in DX11 compared to the first gen Nvidia offerings. That is a little concerning.

**** Edit****

I take that all back it looks like they ran the Heaven bench on Extreme Tessellation mode. Which is way better then the current gen can do.

Plus I notice that if these are real it is about the same GPU vantage score of two 5850's.

That is very impressive!

I take everything back in the first paragraph! I want two :)

I would have hoped to see a possible 60FPS at min in Heaven bench.

My goodness. I am so glad this place isn't bias :D I have never been on forums where so many people actually appreciate ATI. All these other forums I have been on, they are all Intel/Nvidia fanboys. I am not against Intel/Nvidia producs.. It's just fanboys are very annoying :/ Especially if they start cursing you out because you like an AMD/ATI product :(

lol yeah i cant remember how many times enormous flamewars were erupted over drivers, which IMO isnt a big issue 99% of the time, and honestly ive had just as much trouble with nvidia driver conflicts as i have had with ati, just my exp

More Rumors and Rumors... :)

The pricing is what I will be watching. Not sure how true that chart is but if the performance is true and the price is low that would be the best time to buy before it goes up.
