Hi all...

I want to configure my new PC...i m looking for ur advice..the config is given below:

-Processor: 1)AMD Phenom II X4-945 HDX945FBGIBOX Quad Core 3.0 GHz
or
2)AMD Phenom II X4-955 Black

-Motherboard: -Asus M4A785TD-V EVO AM3 AMD

-RAM: CORSAIR XMS3 4GB(2X2 GB) DDR3 SDRAM 1333 (TW3X4G1333C9)

-Cabinet: -Cooler Master Elite RC-335-KKR5-GP (with 500W extreme power supply)

-Graphics Card: Sapphire Radeon HD5670 512MB DDR5 PCI-E 2.0

USAGE: the system is gonna be used mainly for playing FIFA, PES.

Budget: 20000-25000 INR

Since the above config is exceeding my budget...suggest me something which i can buy for the above usage. i do wonder whther i should go for graphics card or the sideport memory of ATI RAdeon HD4200 128 MB DDR3. tell me asap...

Thanks in Advance :)

the HD 4200 will be too slow for gaming, the 5670 itself is fairly low end for games.

just as a heads up, the power supply coming with that case is likely fairly low quality - if it comes with a case, its not gunna be very good.

i'm moving this to system builders advice, you'll likely get better help there.

Granted you're gonna play only fifa or pes, the card would be fine, but I'd at least shove in a 5770 in there, since this year it seems ea is giving us pc users the next gen *cough* engine. And I agree, free psu's smell like trouble, wherever they come from.

5770 ftw. Will you only play footie games with it? If thats the case and you want to save cash, get the 4770, cause these games aren't demanding. Your purse is your best bet, how much are you willing to throw in?

I dunno about their really high end, but I agree with Mussels on most of their PSUs. Seasonics, Corsairs or Enermaxes would be a much better choice.

even a corsair 450W would power your system perfectly, and be much better quality than even a 600W coolermaster.

the other parts seem quite good, except you may be able to save money on the ram. brand doesnt matter there really, as long as you get 4GB of DDR3 1333Mhz, the rest doesnt matter - get some cheap stuff, as long as the warranty is decent.

That would be harsh, granted they cranked out a lot of bullshit, the one I have hasn't failed me (pretty cool since it was a gift) Maybe its just luck.

I'd say a 5770 too, but since fifa and pes aren't that graphics demanding games, the 4770 would be fine. Since they are console ports, he'd be good for another couple of years (till consoles decide to go *next gen* again)

Even the CX400 will power that rig without complaint....unless he plans to CF down the road. Then again, I run a pair of 9600GSOs (G92 based) on a CX400.

console ports means the games you're playing were made for the Xbox or playstation, and then ported (converted/translated) to PC.

since those consoles are based on outdated hardware, they tend to not take much power for a PC to games ported from them.

to comment on what assaulter said in the post below mine, while a 4770 will have enough power, the 5770 is newer - its going to be more power efficient, faster, and last longer before you need to replace it.

I play these games each year, its good when you have 2 brothers in the same house! Back to your question, these games are made for the consoles in mind, then ported for the pc. I have a 9800gt, pretty old by todays standards, and it still rapes these games at over 100fps @ 1920x1080 all settings max. So you really don't need a uber graphics card to play them. And since the 4770 you said you're aiming for is pretty much on par with the 9800gt, it would be enough.

actually HD5770 is way over my budget...so i hv to choose between HD4770 and HD5670...but HD4770 is not compliant to DirectX11 while the other one is...

I m really confused...so please suggest me...if there is some better option available for the same or less price for my requirements please let me know...

To reiterate, you won't need dx11 to play either pes or fifa. Now if you want to play other games which are dx11, you'd want the 5770, but bear in mind all dx11 games are backward compatible, so it won't be so much a problem, especially since you say you are cash strapped. What budget do you have for a card? suggest a number and we'll kindly advise. ;)

even a corsair 450W would power your system perfectly, and be much better quality than even a 600W coolermaster.

It really depends on the CoolerMaster in question. The new CoolerMaster GX series are better than a lot of stuff Corsair are putting our these days. The CM silent pro M isnt bad either.

But yes the CM that comes with the "Cooler Master Elite RC-335-KKR5-GP" case is bound to suck.

The OP should buy a seperate PSU whether a enthusiast CoolerMaster or another brand.

okay...so now i m going with Corsair 400CX...
Graphics Card...HD5670...

Now for rest of the things:

I currently Own a system with-

- AMD Athlon X2 4800+ processor 2.5 GHz
- Gigabyte 690V
- 1GB DDR2 RAM 667MHz

So if i add a good graphics card and power supply will that b enough or dhould go with the full new config which i wrote earlier????

definitely need more ram in that older system, but otherwise it may well be enough for the games you've mentioned.
