Thanks for all the great advice, I've been thinking about the 5H V2 a bit, and I'm pretty set on it at this point. I can get it for 80 bucks off NCIX right now, but I think I'll wait just a bit in anticipation of a sale (It probably won't go on sale anytime soon and I'll dump the 80 bucks for it). This headset keeps boasting its beastly optimization for FPS games. I play FPS games myself, but also other games such as StarCraft 2, but above all I'm always listening to music (Regularly Rock and Trance). Will the 5H V2 still sound good with music after being so carefully optimized for FPS gaming?
Thanks for all the great help by the way
Edit: I've been looking at the Sennheiser PC350's since my first headset, but they've always been too expensive.
http://www.ncix.com/products/index....nufacture=Sennheiser Electronics&promoid=1053 caught my eye at $150 and on backorder (If I order before the sale expires, I'll wait for more stock and they'll ship) but $150 is still quite expensive and I'll have to dig really deep to afford it. Is it worth to get these over the 5H V2's and will I notice a large difference with these cans with my AuzenTech X-Plosion sound card? Thanks.
TL;DR: 5H V2 good for music? PC350 worth $150 w/ my AuzenTech X-Plosion sound card and is it much better than the 5H V2's?
The PC350 deal expires this evening, need some advice on it and I can't make up my mind.
Edit: Going to order the PC350s tonight on NCIX for $150. I'm a bit wary of the modding you have to do for them, but I think I'm up for it...anybody have any suggestions or a reason I should stick with the 5H V2's?
Edit again: Ordered the PC350's for $150 (Back Order) on NCIX before the sale ends this evening. Can always cancel if I have second thoughts or a good sale starts tonight. I'm gonna mod the 350's after breaking them in. Anybody have thoughts?
