Seems devs are out of ideas right now! Not that it is a bad thing though, I really miss old school games like these. I recently saw EA was giving a go at NBA JAM, the classic arcade game from midway. Don't know if you folks know it, but back in the days where arcade were kings, I spent a lot of kid money on em!

no one wants to spend TIME on a story, so they reuse an old story and spam out games like no tomorrow.

Yeah guess the gaming industry is at a stand still, just like hollywood. New ideas are lacking or they are too conservative to consider some change. As long as you can cash in on ip's still working, why change em? Boring for us but as long as games like cod, guitar hero, the sims et al continue to sell, we won't see the end of it. I myself haven't bought a new game in a long time.

Diddy Kong is an non playable character.... The Kremlins are gone? WHAT THE SHIT IS THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fuck you and the horse you rode in on Retro studios!!!!

That being said, I am still buying this game. Takes me back to the 90's, watching the seconds tick by on the clock while in school, dying to get home and play this game. The fights I got into with my sister because she was hogging the play time.

I have all three DKC games on SNES. 2 and 3 are STILL hard as hell to beat.
