Buddy with a GTX480 was having issues with these drivers retaining 2d clocks in games running in windowed mode. Just be on the lookout if you play games in windowed mode.

did u uninstall ur driver or did u just update it?

Did not uninstall manually ... I used the "Perform Clean Install" option - and what it does is uninstalling the drivers and make a reboot and installs the new drivers......

So in a way i did uninstall the drivers ;)

But man - the drivers a really good, and most important, stable, for the 480´s that is....

Ill go back to the Palit supplied, 259.19 drivers for now... even though things seem fine.
Not too much into running beta drivers. We pay them big bucks for our gear. Its their job to figure it out. lol ! And never mind all the free research these forums generate for them. :twitch: How about a rewards program for beta testers ! heh

When I ran the setup, Windows gave me an alert that the publisher could not be verified. And, the Physx setting was present in the Nvidia control panel, but did not show in the Nvidia system info or in GPUZ, untill I manually installed it.

Usually, these newer beta drivers fudge up previous gen cards.. much like what 8 series did to 7 series. I say stick with the best drivers for the previous tech. Most optimizations are GTX400 series related anyway.

If this is your psu, you may want to upgrade it for that gpu. Any idea what the amp requirements are for the GTX 460 are. Nvidia says 450w is the minimum but no info on the amps, which to me, means more than the wattage.

When mp3's are choppy, it ususally tells me your rig is a starvin Marvin !! lol

Well I am not sure on the exact number. But I can tell you a Corsair 850HX can easily power 2 GTX 460's Overclocked with a high End MOB, i7 860 @ 4.0 Ghz, Two HDD's, One SSD, and 4 Gigs of RAM.

So I think your 650 Watter should be just fine as long as your AMPS on the rails are good to go :)

im running the 260.63s and they are the best drivers i have ran in ages, even lets me up the iq settings in some games and keep the same (60+) fps performance.

i know what your saying about new drivers for new cards but these are winners for me :thumb:
