Blur no Momo wheel or RumblePad support!

WOW I wish I would have known that there is NO Momo wheel or RumblePad support! That pretty much suck ass. The two main controllers out there and they are not supported in the game. Damn what a waste of $32...Errr I wish there was a way to return it to direct2drive as they did not state compatibility one way or the other and the Momo wheel and RumblePad are I believe the two main ones on the market. Oh well looks like I have been burned!

Its arcade when your just playing on normal settings, with a keyboard and such.

Its simulator, when you slam difficulty to the max, add rediculas damage settings, and your stuck in cockpit view.

Spinning out if you take a apex of a turn wrong.

There are a mix of arcade, all the way to full on Gran turizmo tweaking of the gear ratio's man hahhahahahah

Well I am not sure what the exact meaning of cockpit view is but Blur does have an option to view from with in the car but it more like windshield view...Okay I accept the no wheel support but, what the hell no RumblePad support is just plane STUPID. This is Xbox pad only!:shadedshu :shadedshu

Well I just tried the damn emulator and no luck it errors out by itself(the test)(XInputTest.exe) and it errors out the game if I copy the needed files to the game directory. SHIT!

Well there is no way I am spending another $30 to $59 on a damn Xbox controller to make the game $100...ERRRR let me just kill someone

BLUR works well with my xbox360 controller and usb adapter for windows use, for the wheel I can easily recommend DRIT2 and NFS Shift, both play fantastic with a wheel.

Okay I just did a trouble ticket on direct2drive.com

" I purchased this game and before I did I read threw all available information on the game (BLUR)well after installing it I find out that it does NOT support the Logiteck Rumble Pad nor the Momo wheel. I understand not supporting the Momo wheel but not supporting the RumblePad and no mention of only supporting the XboX pad has very much misled me in to purchasing the game. I would like to have this game canceled from being charged to me. Please any help would be appreciated.

I used my ps2 controller via usb adapter for blur without problems, but i don't remember having to move files into the blur directory?

No that was for an emulator to try and use my RumblePad.

+1 hope it goes well, I dont think controller information on a driving game is too much of a stretch to ask for at all.

So Direct2drive responded back with a $20 credit! Now that is a stand up vendor! My hat is off and give much props and respect to their customer quality control!

At least if I buy them on the consoles I know the controller I like and use will work, and I hate playing racing games without a controller.

anyway these apps make your controller emulate keyboard presses. maybe that's what you mean by emulator but i have never found a game that wouldn't work with Pinnacle , as it goes deeper than the game , meaning the game truly sees it's presses as a keyboard press.

Well I have most of them for PC and so far I have only come across two PC Race games that don't support the Rumble pad >> BLUR << and >>> Need For Speed World <<< As for the Momo wheel I have only used it on Dirt2 and Need For Speed Shift but, I am betting what ever works with the RumblePad will work with the Momo Wheel.

I did try an Emulator but had no luck with it How much is the Pinnacle? Sounds worth a try if priced right.

Well I tried the pinnacle profiler and had total fail with it...lol...i couldn't even assign keyboard keys to my controller....the wizard deactivated my controller all together.I had to kill it with taskmanager...It had some built in profiles for halflife but come on I haven't fired that up in ages.

EDIT: After playing around a bit more with it I was able to make it work!!! YAY !!!! I was even able to config it to work with Blur! PRETTY FRIGGIN KEWL! Thanks Bro!

Okay so been messing with Blur and the Pinnacle Profiler seems to actually be doing ok as long as you don't let the profiler do any on line update which seems to over ride my configuration for Blur..Not too big a deal once you know this.

NOW for the OTHER BUMMER...NO CROSSFIRE SUPPORT! Blur will run just fine while in crossfire but it will not utilize any other GPU but the main GPU... I have not tested the re-name work around .... It will probably hose my Profiler config if I do... But I I will test the re-name anyway and report back.

Oh yeah worth mentioning ...even running on just one of my GPU's this game runs smooth as silk.

Blur didn't support the wheel even in the xbox version, id recommend a wired xbox controller.

Well the Pinnacle Profiler is working with My wireless RumblePad2 ..I haven't tried to config the MOMO Wheel yet tho.

I did however just test the re-name trick for Crossfire support and it did not work.... Oh well I am just glad my GPU is still Strong enough to Pawn this game with all settings maxed with out the other 3 GPU's helping.
