New here, and just needed ideas... I built a VERY budget oriented rig about a year ago for a relative for school work:
Generic case and PSU (500w generic, i'd guess actual rating would be ~240w?) which I figured should not be too bad considering the basic components:
AMD Sempron
Asrock AM2 mb (nforce 61? dun remember)
1 GB Kingston DDR2 800
Inno3D 7200gs
80gb Sata Hdd
LG dvdrw
They live out in a remote area and I think they may have some issues with the electricity there (tv goes wonkers when you turn on a fan, etc) and they've just informed me that they've changed PSU's like 3 times in the last couple of months and its died yet again so am stepping in.
In this case, do you think a decent PSU (I was thinking FSP BlueStorm 500) along with an avr will do the job?
