A GTS 250 running stock and only being used for PhysX probably wont pull that much power. I think that although it will be close, for gaming it will be fine (just stay away from stress testing everything at once :laugh:).

I went to corsairs homepage and tried the PSU choise thingy and i typed in all my specs and tried what is was gonna say with 2x gtx470, and it still said that i would be fine using a vx550w..... so im not sure how much faith to put into that calculation according to corsair ;)

Yeah, I would say Corsair is being a bit generous there. The only bad thing I saw was that the PSU only has 2 PCIe cables, so the 250 would run off adapters (unless I read the specs wrong on Newegg).

The 470 and 250 make a nice pair though :cool:

It would probably work, but it would be pointless. The GTS250 isn't going to improve performance any over just the GTX470 in PhysX.

Didnt work.... my crappy motherboard does only have 1x pci-e ...... Another reason to upgrade platform i guess :D

adding a gts250 for dedicated physx instead of using 1 single card for both physx and gaming would drastically improve the performance in games, using physx, such as mafia2, metro2033, etc....

No it won't, I've done it. Adding a 9600GT and a GTX460 to my GTX470 does not help performance one bit. The GTX470 is powerful enough by itself to handle PhysX without a dedicated card.
