Me too Please

I second that request. The BE Bios would be nice. Anyone know how high the overvoltage app will go. Currently with MSI afterburner I get 1000MhZ GU and 1200 for mem at 1.24v..temp are 72 during L4D2 play (1920x0180 all high and morph AA)

A copy of the bios file was uploaded earlier today via gpu-z and is apparently awaiting verification.

Not sure why the file still hasn't appeared in the download list as I know it was definitely uploaded by a fellow user of another forum however that user also uploaded a copy of the bios here http://www.ukweatherworld.co.uk/Dave/Barts.bin

It works fine on my Sapphire card :)

I found that same bios last night, flashed my Sapphire HD 6870 with it and getting better performance, would say around 10% better than stock. Good bios, hoping Sapphire release a Vapor X HD 6870 with a much higher overclock, then will flash to that bios lol. These cards are good for 1000 core and 1200 memory with only a slight bump in voltage. If RBE Editor could support voltage via GPU and VTT Registers we could run these cards much higher, I don't like using Afterburner and Sapphire Trixx, bios modding is far better imo..

Very happy with the HD 6870 but am considering upgrading to a HD 6950 when they get released. Apparently they come with 2 GB memory and have an upgraded core different from the 6870. If HD 6950 can run Crysis at max at around 60fps then im sold. I think the HD 6970 will be overkill..

I' m a Sapphire 6870 owner too, it's possible to change using the RBE, the Vendor id from XFB BE bios, to Sapphire vendor and then to flash it on my card without issues? XFX's Black Edition card uses the same cooler and PCB with stock 6870?

You can flash the card as is - no need to change the vendor id. You will have to reinstall the drivers though.

Both fan speed and temps are about the same as the stock bios on my card.

If I change the values to 1000 - 1200 MHz from 940 - 1150 MHz of XFX BE, the temperatures and fan noise are a little bit higher?

So does this XFX Black Edition BIOS use Clocks that can go past 1000 in the CCC? If it doesn't anyone tell me what BIOS does.

The reason I ask is that there is a problem with ENABLEOverclock Settings in MSI Afterburner. Were if you do that to get past the CCC limits of 1000 it will make your econd GPU run at 99% as soon as you touch any clock settings.
It will do this while in Crossfire. So right now I am kind of stuck with how high I can go on my overclock.
I have already tried the EnbaleULPS fix too. So if someone could Direct me too if this BIOS does allow clocking past 1000 or if they know another BIOS that allows it please let me know guys.

Thanks.

If your card with it's original bios couldnt overclock that high then this bios won't help. The ONLY reason to install this bios is to have faster stock settings without having to mess around with ccc, afterburner or other utilities.

Yeah exactly, I hate using software to overclock, like to flash bios and be done with it. Anybody know if they will release a version of RBE Editor that will support volt regsiter changing? Or if there is an alternative?

Im aiming for 1000 core and 1200 mem 24/7 could prob get much higher with volt reigisters modding but for 24/7 those clocks would be ideal :)

There seems to be an issue with the current version of RBE and 6800 series cards anyway - if you alter the clock speeds and flash the card the drivers will not initialise so I'm not sure I'd be holding my breath for the voltage adjustments at this point!

I've just wondering if I edit sapphire's bios and change the values, I'll have the same result? I think yes.

I'll buy AC Accelero Xtreme Plus Cooler and I will flash my Sapphire's bios to 1000 - 1200 MHz when the new RBE will support voltage change. I found out on net, that when you set the voltage to 1.30 V, then you can clock the card to 1035 - 1175 with 30% increase of total performance.

Xfx be

So they (being the 940/1150) BIOS worked like charm. Now if only one could find a copy of the XFX OverVolt app (win7 64Bit). Afterburner works but it seems that OverVolt also has mem voltage tweaks?...anyone have the app?
