Inno3d GTX460 1GB to EVGA or PALIT GTX 460 1GB FTW SSC, Sonic Platinum BIOS? Is this possible?

Just a few question to all of the masters out there. Can I flash my Inno3d GTX 460 1GB, to any of the 2 brand like the EVGA or PALIT? To get there BIOS setting, specially the Palit who's clock goes up to 800mhz. Can I?, can I?

it would, but i still wondering how if the card has non reference board will it affected coz some card come on their own design like layout, choke, memory

Isn't much point, just use an overclocking software to raise it to those clocks without flashing it to a different BIOS. Why risk bricking the card?

So your logic is that since it is still under warranty, flashing it with a BIOS from a different manufacturer to overclock the card, which can be detected by the original manufacturer if you ever have to send the card in and hence voiding your warranty, is better than using software to overclock the card which can't be detected by the original manufactuer and hence doesn't void the warranty.

if you flash back before sending in the card they can't detect the bios flash either

Tell yah what, if you still wish to flash. Upload your bios here in .zip format and I can take a peak. I would rather not do this because flashing is always a risk.

Yeah, but if you have to send it back, there is more of a chance it is because there is something wrong with the card so you can't flash back.

Your still wanting to flash it after what everyone has suggested you do? Just get msi afterburner and OC the card so it can perform like the palit or the evga card.

Yeah no problem. You can adjust core clock, mem clock, shader clock, fan speed all in MSI afterburner. It's a pretty neat program and say something does happen to your card in the future all you have to do is send it in and they won't be able to tell it's had any OC'ing on the card since MSI after burner is a software only program, so say you were to install that card in a different system after having it OC'd in another system, it would go back to stock clocks untill you get afterburner and OC it again.

Just make sure you set it to apply at windows startup otherwise your gonna have to OC it everytime you boot into windows. I have my two 8800gts's OC'd using afterburner and the fan speed set to 70%. When i first start my pc the fan's go 100% when posting then they drop back down to stock speeds and after booting into windows you can hear when afterburner applys the clocks and fan speed

Also make sure you stress test your OC with furmark or a program equal to it and you don't get any lockup's artifacts or anything. If you get any of those your gonna have to bring the clocks back down a bit. Also watch temps and set a custom fan profile. Do NOT leave it on auto.
