can u guys tell me what is a good video editing software for windows media files and divx files i can use and then burn onto dvd so it will play on a normal dvd player in the front room.
(free software plz) or very good ones that dont cost more than about £30

Will Windows Media Encoder handle all of that? I am not sure...

(That's just one possible idea for you, but probably NOT accurate, or good enough!)

Heck, I shouldn't comment either way, since that area's NOT my 'forte' in the area of software though (fairly far from it actually in many ways)!

* I've never done 1/2 of what you're asking above, in fact, lol!

Still, would be COOL to try & get into imo!

WinAVI Video Converter will re-encode any format you can throw at it to exact DVD specs (PAL or NTSC) in 3 clicks (and vice-versa).

AVI (any type), MOV, RAM, WMV, ASF, VCD, SVCD, MPG (any type), and even SWF can all be converted to DVD and back and forth between file types.

It's not free but it isn't expensive either...
