new sapphire 6850 or used sapphire 5850 vapor-x

hi guys happy new year for all of u,my pocket is hurting me and i want to upgrade my 3 years old 8800 gt 512 that served me very good ,i found sapphere 6850 here for 210 and a used 5850 vapour x 1gb ?? which one u suggest since i will overclock the 5850 to match the 5870 or more perfomace and i dont think that the 6850 will do that, thanks for the help guys

Id say skip the 6800 cards and go for 6900 if funds alow.
A 5850 would be a good upgrade as well but the no-refrence cards don't clock as well as reference cards do.
If you know for sure you can change the voltage on the 5850 get it as it should clock good.

yes i recently found that there the new trixx utility works for sapphere 58xx also so what u say?? they are the same price or the 5850 mabe lower i game on 22'' 1680x1050
for the 6950 it didnt arrive here and if it does it would be for 350$+

I would get the 5850
I use MSIs tool to overclock my vid card.

I don't know yet as I just got it and my motherboard is not here yet.
Had to RMA it.
My XFX card can do 990/1100

5850 would be a big upgrade from your 8800. It would be hard to go wrong either way.

great i saw the reviews that the sapphere can do 900 without voltage tune so,what u think about tessilation and other stuff of the 6850 +the price 200 for used 5850 vapour x is it good?

HD5850 > HD6850

HD5850 OVERCLOCKED > HD6870 = HD5870

the 5850 Vapor X has the best cooler on the market, even after market coolers cant match it for noise and its still under warranty.

For the same price, 5850 is faster than 6850 but will use more power, produce more heat and fans are likely to be louder which may be considerations. Both overclock well, but at max overclocks the performance gap may close a bit with 6850's better tessalators. If it was me, I'd still find a deal on a 6870 instead.
