I am building a new computer and I'm stuck at what case to get. Here's the basic setup of the new rig.

AMD Phenom II X4 965
GIGABYTE GA-870A-UD3
HIS Radeon HD 6850
750W Corsair Modular PSU
8GB Kingston HyperX 1600
CORSAIR Hydro H70

I am leaning towards the Antec 1200 or maybe the Cooler Master HAF X. I would like the case to have excellent airflow, fit all listed parts (obviously), and look clean. Any ideas out there? :)

Edit: My budget is about $200.

Might like this also.

But I agree, the Antec 1200 is nice. Never really been a fan of the HAF X tbh. I am probably the wrong person to ask about cases though as I usually tend to get whatever is cheapest that works.

I've heard from a few people that Lian Li has the best cases out there. That case would be perfect if it had a clear side panel. I've always been an Antec fan. I have used the 300 and just got rid of my 900. I love the Cooler Master HAF 932, but the side panel looks funky as hell.

Yeah I agree. Here's one with the interior that's very similar to the HAF 932, but again it's more for sleek looking and no window.

If you wish to have a window your best option would be the 1200.

Ya, I think the side window is mandatory for me. That's why I'm leaning towards the 1200 currently. It also seems to have amazing airflow based on specs and pictures.

This would be my first full tower. I don't even think I need one, but it just seems they have some much more airflow potential.

I've owned a number of Lian-Li cases over the years - the build quality is amazing, however if I have 2 gripes they would be 1) Cases are a lot noiser than a steel/plastic construction 2)the stock fans are terrible.

I've just bought a Silverstone Raven case and have to say I love it - I would have preferred the Fortress but there seems be a be a lack of supply (or was just before christmas)

If you do consider either the raven or fortress, make sure you get the latest versions with the AP fans (air penetrator)

The main reasons I went for the Raven/Fortess (basically the same case with the raven being steel and the fortress being alu with sound deadening)

Better air cooling than the HAF range.
Very quiet - much more so than any other hi air flow case I've seen or read about.
I loved the design with the rotated motherboard.

Negatives for the raven/fortress:

Can be a bit tight for the longest vid cards (for the dual core ATI you need to remove a fan guard)
Not many hard drive bays compared to other cases.

I am looking for a full tower case right now. I haven't seen any mid towers that scream out at me yet. Thank you though.

well classification of the size is misleading IMHO. While it makes the cut off for height to a mid tower, it offers everything you will find in cases that will be suggested, except maybe the possibility for a triple rad on the inside;)

To each their own though:)

I just got my FT02 today. I love it. I have the fans set to low speed and it's a bit quieter than my Antec 1200 full of low speed Yate loons. Everything also seems to be running quite a bit cooler than in the Antec 1200. The FT02 is a really well designed case.

The FT02 looks a lot better than my 1200 too. :D
