i3-540 higher idle voltage than load voltage

i discovered according to CPU-Z my i3-540 uses 1.304v when it's idle and under load it only uses 1.288v so is CPU-Z reading from or do i have vdroop on my MSI P55-GD85 board?

Sounds like vdroop. Every computer ever has that issue, nothing to worry about really.

oki, i even set the bios to High Vdroop :laugh:

but i hope i can reach 4ghz on my little Clarkdale here atm i run 3740mhz memory 1626mhz, but everytime i try to boot up at 4ghz Windows is slow or just crashes

you've mistake "my CPU uses X volts at idle" for "this is the voltage my mobo is supplying"

as said its just Vdroop, but the reason you got so confused about it was cause you used the wrong terminology in your head.

yap Mussels, i just never had this kind a vdroop before but oki, i went from one of the best LGA775 P45 boards to LGA1156 P55 and another brand and so many settings in bios, but it's easy to get stable ^^;
