In its 25th anniversary year, Antec, Inc., the global leader in high-performance computer components and accessories for the gaming, PC upgrade and Do-It-Yourself markets, today announced the One Hundred, its newest gaming case designed to offer PC gamers and enthusiasts an array of advanced cooling and performance options at an affordable price.

The One Hundred boasts four top-mounted USB 2.0 ports (with audio in/out,) a handy storage tray for added convenience, a sleek painted black interior and perforated front bezel that delivers maximum air intake, and a bottom-mounted power supply that isolates heat and noise. This model is also the first in Antec's gaming case series to include a standard case lock slot for integrated anti-theft protection.

The One Hundred's cooling system utilizes one top 140 mm TwoCool fan and one rear 120 mm TwoCool 2-speed switch control exhaust fan for flexible control of fan speeds to balance cooling and quiet performance, and a built-in washable air filter for quick and easy cleaning. Its eight expansion slots can accommodate multiple video cards, providing exceptional expandability, while 10 drive bays (six internal 3.5" drive bays, three external 5.25" drive bays and one internal bottom-mounted 2.5" drive bay) lend flexibility for a wide-range of builds.

"PC gamers and enthusiasts have reason to be excited with the release of the new One Hundred gaming case as it packs a host of useful features at an affordable price point," said Scott Richards, senior vice president at Antec. "With the advanced airflow, upgradeability and control options, this latest addition provides the performance capabilities that the gaming community desires."

The One Hundred supports Mini-ITX, microATX and Standard ATX motherboards and is backed by Antec's Quality 3-Year (AQ3) Limited Warranty on parts and labor. The One Hundred is available now for an estimated price of $79.95 through major retailers, e-tailers and distributors.

Sorry Cooler Master has this segment too covered to offer a cheap case like this for more money than CM is offering in their mid towers. For $49.99 this case might have a chance!

I mount mine the same way - purely because there are no holes at the bottom of the case where the PSU can draw cool air from.

Try putting a peice of paper big enough to cover your CPU fan completely - turn the system on a see what happends after a few mins - samething goes for the PSU if the fan was on the bottom and not the top

I was just about to post the same message. Cooler Master HAF 912 anyone?

I'm surprised that Antec STILL does not offer tool-less installation on their gaming cases.

Yeah I own a Three Hundred Illusion (Illusion just has blue LED fans) and I mount my PSU upside down like that also. It works just fine. It helps to pull hot air out of the case also. The system I have in that case is a Asus Rampage II Gene build. I use it for my file and home theater server. I crammed eight 1TB hard drives in it.

The HAF 912 is ugly. I hate cases that look all crazy with plastic all over the place like a machine from a Sci-Fi movie. The Three Hundred is simple and clean which is looks like this One Hundred case is with some improvements maybe. Also from all the tests I have seen about cases around the price range of the Three Hundred and HAF 912, the Three Hundred does a better job in the cooling department. I love my Three Hundred Illusion.

I dunno in the price range that the Antec One Hundred is supposedly coming in at, I'd just get the CM 690 II. However, newegg actually has it at $59.99 so I dunno. I'd probably still shell out the extra for the 690 II for features.

Wow, that's really bad... so now your PSU is sucking in hot air from inside the system rather than cool air from outside... I guess the upside is that it might help cool your system a bit, but it'll also help heat up the components inside the CPU... Oh well, not getting one of these cases anyhow...

I'm surprised that Antec STILL does not offer tool-less installation on their gaming cases.

Tool-less installation is are usually implemented badly, and its much safer and cheaper to use something which everybody is familiar with. The "tool" is usually only 1 Philips screwdriver anyway, and anybody worth their salt should have that.

The inside of the case is not as hot as what most people think, sure its probably 10C or more hotter than from the outside, but its still cool enough for most PSU (unless you are pulling a lot of watts or your psu is not heat tolerant).

not at all - the Antec 902 has one of the best cases for air cooling, the inside of my case rarely gets very hot

(intake) - 2x120mm at the front - 1x120mm side -

(exhaust) - 1x120mm at the back - 1x200mm at the top running at half speed

---

even my overclocked 5850 idles at 30'c and rarely goes over 50'c while gaming

I'm still waiting for a 900esque uATX case. Give me a mini 900 or Tempest and I'll happily get it without any hesitation...

Looks good, but the black paint will make it much more expenisve than it needs to be.
Probably, but I'm surprised that NZXT can make cases with a black interior at a bargain price. At some point, the NZXT Beta Evo was selling for $25 after MIR in Canada!
