AMD Catalyst 11.1a Hot-Fix Drivers Coming Today!

Thanks, I enabled all of them in registry, except tesselatin. How to enable that one?

if you have installed cat 11.1a hotfix then goto the same registry section for you ati card and under the UMD sub section and its in there listed at the bottom

Tessellation_OPTION change the 30 to a 31 im sure thats all i did

strange! have you tried completely removing all drivers and CCC , then try installing from fresh (also i know you probably did but did you click allow when the driver was installed)

I found a solution: removing hidden graphic cards in device manager. There was a 4870 card hidden. My old card.

That's weird. I've seen that happen with systems that move from physical to virtual, but not on a physical system.

ive a 5870 with 10.12 updated to 11.1a hotfix With the opencl bits present etc and through tweeking the cards settings in the windows registry iv got
Morphological AA on
Surface Optimisations on
EQAA enabled and tested working(or at least still working not crashed)
and Tesselation Optimse plus slider(least still working not crashed)

i tweeked a few registry keys in win7 registry in amd catalyst section theres a post on here to enable morpho on 5870 that guides you to where v well but tesselation options are under UMD sub catagory

I have my 5850 XFIRE installed with the preview 10.12 and the 10.1a ...I have several of the features but not all of them.

Anyways, I am going to play some games and test it out. I'll report back later! Wish me luck

My 6870 runs 2.5x faster in 3Dmark 11 with the old drivers than the new ones. 3535 dropped to 1387. What did I do wrong?

Well so far so good, the only problem I have now is Batman Arkham Asylum isn't playing right. I keep getting flashing lines and it's annoying as hell. Reminds me of the 10.0's drivers with BFBC2 ..that was a nightmare for crossfire users.

LOL ! One reason why I am still on 10.10e drivers ! AMD/ATI really needs to get this shit fixed ! I am sick of buying there crap and every 3 weeks having them " Fix " there crappy drivers with hot fixes and updates . Why not just put a good solid one out for the cards ? and not only that but make them for ALL there cards not just a select few ? One reason I am going back to nVidia is for there excellent drivers and SLI ! Next build coming soon !

From what I've read AMD Optimized will be profiled for certain games. As of right now there are no profiles. So you have to manually set the tessellation sampling rate. I suggest you use 2X and re-bench. See if you notice a difference.

ive treid all the reg benches and am up about 10-20% if i set tesselation to x2 but it is noticeable, not bad but x4 is where its at looks good runs good and aproximates well, normal tesselation levels in everything.

i got 22560 in vantage as aposed to 18890(normally) at x2 levels and yes i know its dx10??!! i thought it odd, but in unigine i got 1200 points 49 fps avg at 1280x1024 then ran in extreme tess, it looked hacked but i got 1000 points 42fps avg mmm dodgy tho on a 5870

around +10% in Heaven with tess 4x. It's smoother but I don't know about the image/model quality. I will take some screens tomorrow

Yeah personally I'm most curious about any IQ improvements or changes. Though still curious about performace improvements too and waiting to install these til I have some time to run some benches under 10.12 first.

Anyway - what is the best driver to use with crossfire 5850? It's something that has frustrated me for months. I upgraded from Vista to win 7 and had had minor problems ever since.

I certainly say that finding a good nvidia driver is easier.
