Liberty City, Vice City and San Andreas all together in one game, with todays graphics adn physics. Fly from Las Venturas to downtown Liberty City, hijack a motorcycle and ride in style to Prawn Island. There, steal a hovercraft, ride back to Liberty City harbour, get the Dodo plane (very important), fly to the old airfield in the desert and park it in the hangar.

Ah, the possibilities...

That game was the nuts IMO. I had a thing for flying the harrier upside-down 10ft from the ground on a freeway and hitting the ejector seat. Took a smidgin of skill

I like San Andreas for what you could do, but I didn't like the character, location, or storyline. And even some of the stuff you could do was just too much.

San Andreas was the best
Why:
1. It was not a demanding game
2. It was much more deliberate and not too sophisticated
3. Perfectly coded (at least much better than IV)
4. The map was much easier to memorise
5. It did not have any expansions packs that big like the ballad of gay tony
6. It does not mean anything for me that GTA IV mentioned an albanian
7. It is much easier to modify the game than GTA IV
8. San Andreas had animated graphics, which i like more than realistic graphics
9. HESOYAM!!!!! :p Anyway i completed the game 5 times without any cheats

I second that.

Also, tell me one other game despite GTA SA where you can jump off a mountain in a hovercraft boat, then hijack a traktor, drive to a nearby airport, steal a business jet, fly to the desert, get in a military jet, and fly said jet through a train tunnel.

I dare you to tell me.

This is why SA was such a huge success, some German game magazines even gave it 98%/100 ratings lol. One even calculated how much time you'd spend in jail playing an average hour of GTA SA. It was like 12000 years

I didn't like the ghetto story too much - it was refreshing tho. And for me, the translations were really good, I wasn't too familiar with all that slang thrown at me. I have SA since it came out on PS2 and I still pop it in occasionally. It takes a massive amout of time until it gets boring.

I think you have to be a fan of Hip-Hop to fully appreciate the San Andreas storyline (well, the first island anyway), since certain characters were based (in parody) on rappers from the period the game was set in.

He's based on Cube, Ice-T and Dre aswell I believe.
Ryder was based on Easy-E.
OG Loc is believed to be based on Ja Rule, as he had problems with Interscope at the time, but I dunno.
I'd say CJ is based on the look of 2Pac.

Well there are a bunch of multiplayer servers with hundreds of people on each at any given time so SA must have something going for it. Seems especially popular overseas. I bought it for 5 bucks but just don't have the time.

Would love to see a new SA since drove around with the Airport buggys with lots of trailers added (a must have again) or VC would be nice.

Some i would like to see would be Edinburgh being Rockstar North's base or London.

I loved san andreas! Would play it at my cousins house, and we would get the remote explosives (or w/e they're called) and put a ton of 'em on the road and detonated them as cars went over them. We made an ambulance do a flip

Question for everyone:
What do you prefer playing GTA with, pad or keyboard and mouse?
It's one of those VERY few games I prefer with a pad.

pad for me. Watched my roommate play GTA IV on the pc with a kb/m, looked like the key bindings weren't all that great, at least from what I saw. (that probably could have been changed)
