What kind of cooling do you use ?

Just wanting to find out what the majority of TPU users are cooling there CPU's with .
I use a water cooling setup ( Soon to add my TEC/WB once the PSU comes ) . So the poll will be Air , water , Air ( TEC assisted ) , Water ( TEC assisted ) . And then the extreme side will be Liquid Nitrogen , Dry Ice , and Phase cooling .

I would have changed Air options slightly -
Stock Air; and Aftermarket Air.

Liquid cooling is the best but you have to check inside ( for leaks or pump efficiency ) more often than a normal air cooled system.

I haven't checked mine for over 8 months now maybe I should look at it ? Not today I am too lazy today . I never really worried about leaks or any thing . It never did leak why would it start now ? :laugh:

Air, but thinking of water-cooling in the summer. Especially for my GPU. So loud.
If I do go liquid, i will exhaust it outside so the A/C doesn't have to work extra hard and drive up the electric bill.

Dont laugh you never know, the worst could happen at any time you can have leaks...

No system is perfect, check the integrity of the tubes and the water flow, sometimes...

My MB is covered front and back with conformal coating ! If there was ever a leak the only real issue for me would be the video cards :eek:

. But yeah I check it not like I am all worried and freaked out about it leaking . Like I say , If it hasn't leaked in 1 years time why would it start now ? Leaks happen sure but nothing to get all crazy freaked out about .

i used to use the swiftech mcp-6500t like you have on my core 2's. it works ok on i7s but you'd be better off with water on i7.

q9650 should run 4.6-4.8ghz on that tec. i7's can run 4.2-4.5ghz but will cause the tec to work its ass off.

TECs are fun to toy with but not great for long term use.

in that case id like to hear from those that can afford to cool their rigs day to day 24/7 365days a year using dry ice or LN2.

Ive heard of people using it to break benchmark/overclocking records but I think its too expensive for anyone here to use on a day to day basis unless their arnold swazznegger - he could stand to sell a hummer or 2 just to run a PC on LN2 for a year

I agree with you , I do like it though and once I get the PSU for it I should see even better cooling temps . I am also planing on a 400w TEC to replace the one that is 226W in it now .
