6950 crossfire question

I have Msi 6950 2gb and I want to buy another one from Asus for crossfire setting. However, the Asus one has slightly higher frequencies. Is this ok for xfire or would it be better to buy another one from Msi. But its a little bit more expensive.

Crossfire will work. It will run at the lower settings. You could always just bump the MSI card's settings up a bit in CCC and game on.

Each card will run at the specifications of each card. If this was RAM we were talking about... then yeah that would work.

Crossfire will let each card run at the speeds each card's respective BIOS calls for. I would recommend getting the same make and model of card for Crossfire but as long at it is another 6950 or 6970, the driver doesn't care, it will still do it.
