i loved bulletstorm and homefront both in my opinion are better then this pile of crap they call crysis 2 if you wanna be running in a straight line with 2 of your abilties taken away dumbed done controls for console, no prone ability and graphics that remind me of 6-7 yrs ago then hell go for it....i bought it, and i have to force myself to play it to feel like im getting my 60 bux worth, thats my OPINION

It's SUPA generic.

Doesn't even have the original crisis trick card of looking epic.

Character models are good, everything else seems distinctly average.

I've been burned a few times buying games only to find out they were total crapware.

One of the worst was Dungeon Lords.
Full of not only bugs, but game stopping bugs, missing promised features, some features that were included did not work at all, etc.
When they did finally fix the bugs they released it as a new version and you had to buy it again if you wanted to actually play the game. :shadedshu

Detemining whether the $60 is a good value (ie. amount of play/replay time, good MP) is subjective and opinions will vary, but it's still a good chunk of cash to be dropping if you do not have a lot of disposable income.

Just my 2 cents.

Even before this day and age of digital distribution sales I'd say HELL NO! Too bad, was hoping for better from Crytek.

But my point is that's essentially too much for any new game these days IMO and was always hefty. The only games I will buy for 50 or 60 pre or at release any time soon are BF3, Skyrim and maybe Witcher 2.

Here is my best advice to you.

What I normally do is if I want a game that has a hefty price tag but I am not crazy about purchasing the game right away, I wait about 4 or so weeks. I then go on Ebay and search the game I want and then tick the options 'Top Rated Sellers' and 'Brand New'. You would be surprised at how low of a price these people put the games at and you don't have to worry about getting ripped off with a top rated seller. They got their high rating on their store for a reason...

I almost never purchase games that are $60. And Crysis 2? I wouldn't think so. The graphics may be nice but I don't think the gameplay can live up to how nice the engine looks. lmao

One of the few games I bought that expensive was Starcraft 2. In my opinion, the gameplay is awesome in that game. I played beta so I knew the game was worth it in my opinion.

The only time I will pay full retail for a game is if I want to support the developers.
I love the Elder Scrolls games, so I will buy Skyrim at release.
I also buy Stardock games (even though Elemental was a disaster) as I like their DRM policy.

Yeah when it comes to something like this (and I don't just mean games) a good general rule of thumb is if you have to wonder/ask if it's worth the money than the answer is very much most likely no.

yes. everyone has such a boner for Crysis OMG graphics must be good. I mean they are pretty good i think and the Single player is 12+ hours. Thats easily worth it.

Actually COD has been the same game with the same look for years now... They just give you new maps and call it a new game.

That aside.

Here is my honest humble opinion on Crysis 2 for $60.

The game is fun. This is coming from the guy whos complained more than anyone else on the issues the game has. Issue as in bugs which don't really take from the game but it can make it a bit fustrating to play at times. But they are aware and wokring hard to fix them (Posted on Mycrysis.com).

They game's MP is fun especially if you like COD's MP. Although generic by now, Crysis 2 adds a few ideas and games modes of their own (along with the suit) that make for a new and interesting MP which I consider vastly more entertaining than the first.

The story line is about as good as the first and worth playing IMO.

What I would do is what for the DX11 patch that should be coming out soon, check out what the game looks like after that, see if they patch some bugs along with it, see people's reactions after the patch and then decide.

This patch will either make the game the way it should be or kill it.

crysis 2 is worth like 49.99 not a penny more, but steam still sells mw2 for 59 i think so their pricing is always high. I would buy crysis warhead before buying this. hopefully they fix it but we will see

thats exactly what i basically summed up to say about cod. Same look, new maps, released as completely new game when it should be an expansion and cost $30

No & not a single games should be higher than $35 IMO over that & it's big profits only...

I am no rush , got enough games to last me a few months to a year , still got few years old games that i still not finish...
I just finish H-L 1 about two years ago , just after finishing H-L 2 & H-L 2 EP1 , i still haven't finish H-L2 EP2 , Doom3... just to name a few :laugh:

Beside i still haven't finish Crysis Warhead yet...
