CrossfireX 5770's 3x enough Power??

i didn't ask how it worked, i was unsure how only 1 card needed 2 connectors then sussed it out before you posted in. I was ASSUMING the bridges were short and rigid, but i know you can get a long flexible bridge to connect it - then showed in the poorly made graphic

to anyone not getting it yet, one of the crossfire connectors would line up with a blank spot on one of the other cards, where the connector SHOULD be if it was a dual connector card.

substitute the red lines for the red cards and the black lines for the crossfire connectors...done.

but if someone had one of the 10CM flex bridges it will work, I have done it. but you need to bend the bridge a good amount. its really not worth the headache.

let me translaste for that crowd.

for tri-fire 5770's you need at least 2 of the cards to have 2 crossfire connectors. So your options are

1 5770 with a single crossfire connector + 2 5770's with 2 crossfire connectors on each card

or

3 5770's with 2 crossfire connectors on each card

all other combinations will not work in tri-fire for the 5770.

no matter if your cards have 2 fingers or not 3way 5770 isnt worth it, you end up with like 2 1/8 cards performance instead of 3

if you're trying to be helpful your attitude is not and if you're trying to grow your epeen do it somewhere else. Mussels is easy going, but it you replied the way you replied to Mussels to say Danthebanjoman you'd be banned. that's not a joke.

and really it's not going to work well with 1 card that has 2 crossfire connectors, the bottom one will be too much of a stretch and in the op's case too much hassle considering he still has to buy 2 more cards. Why would he look for 2 different types? why not buy 2 of the same type?
