I do believe HUSKIE had one too, but I think him and panther trade a bit, so it may be the same one :p
They might be able to track it down for you.
Thinking about it, HUSKIE wanted me to buy one for him off eBay, he was prepared to pay £125 for it (with aftermarket cooler), so £100 with 6 months warranty is a good deal IMO.

I would say get the 4870x2 for £100 (that's probably the best deal that you'll see around, but you'll be lucky if they're in stock) but really, there's newer, cooler, more efficient GPU's out now.

2/0: Have you seen what people in the UK have had happen to them over "XFX's lifetime warranty"? People have RMA'ed a card that's 2 years old that they paid £400 for, only to be told "here is £200, we have taken a sum off of the refund to reflect the amount of time you have owned the card." XFX's lifetime warranty is a rip-off, until I'm proven otherwise.

Don't go with XFX just for their lifetime warranty, or you may come unstuck.

Nice looking card but anything over £100 and you're looking into used 5850 prices.

With latest drivers the 5850 is faster, overclockers better and has DX11

So £100 or less really is my highest :)

I know these things cost a fortune when they released but that was over 2 years ago now.

heres the thing if you want a 4870x2 so bad your gonna pay for it, and in most benchmarkes the 4870x2 inches out the 5850 and even the 5870, and like my version which is a super cooled overlcocked version it makes a bigger diffrence, at higher resolutions with more options such as AA max and 16xaf the 4870x2 proves its worth

you can go ahead and look at the comparison yourself and dont start shoving drivers in my face they make a diffrence but not 70fps diffrence

From what I'm seeing it's slower in newer games that push hardware.

And have you seen the results of new drivers?

The cards no longer top dog, A 1Ghz core 5850 would muller it.

Why?

Because looking at it people need to get it into there heads that hardware is worth less then they think.

A 4870x2 in decent condition with a box is worth £100 at most and they seem to be going around that on Ebay.

And yet I get people telling me other wise and posting ebay links to cards that want more then that?

The thread was simple, If you have a 4870x2 that you would like to sell for £100 then PM me.

Instead I get loads of people thread crapping

You may want to clean up here, gentlemen/ladies.:)

READ BEFORE POSTING!! The Rules of this Forum

No links to auctions or other sites. (No Ebay links)

Don't do these things in FS/FT threads:
1) Argue over whether prices are fair, or...
2) ...say that something else is cheaper elsewhere.
3) Argue with other members.
4) Negotiate the price of an item you want to buy. This should be done through private messages.

Oh Oh, a mussels is in the pond!

ebay links are regarding the OP WTB or FS are they not?

there is no arguing over price in this thread

there is no price negotiating

what needs to be cleaned up?

well to get 200 back from a card you paid less than 200 for, whose gonna complain

I think you read my post wrong:
People have RMA'ed a card that's 2 years old that they paid £400 for 2 years ago, only to be told "here is £200, we have taken a sum off of the refund to reflect the amount of time you have owned and used the card."

I don't know where you got "less than 200" from lol? I don't mean the 4870X2, I mean XFX cards in general.
Person A bought an XFX card for £400 in 2009. He RMA'ed it in January 2011. XFX said all he could have was a card worth £200, or £200 off of a new card (the card he first bought wasn't in production/stock anymore), and was told "the deduction (of £200's worth of card) was to reflect the amount of time he owned the card".*
I don't want to turn this into an XFX rant thread, but I just want it to be made aware: XFX's Lifetime Warranty (in the EU) isn't even as good as a Sapphire 3 Year Warranty (where they will give you a full value refund/exchange within 3 years of it dying).
Don't buy XFX just because of the lifetime warranty, buy it because it fits your criteria in other areas too.
*I'll dig up sorces soon
Scammer is right i had one of these sitting down on my drawer.

What did you do with it in the end?
