Strange artifacts in Crysis 2 and Crysis 6970

Temps are normal 65 c after gaming, I ran occt and furmark with nothing unsual showing up there. Bought the card from newegg.ca few day ago, should i RMA

I honestly don't see any artifacts. Run it through FurMark and see if there's any evident. But its probably the drivers with the 6xxx series. But I could not see any artifacts?

I think he's talking about that weird flashing.. gamma correction maybe?
Watching it in 1080p I see everything on the screen flashing, mostly the grass.
I'd try disabling settings one at a time in game, to see if that might be causing it.. I wouldn't call that artifacting though..

Nope, thats how the grass moves and when you put the settings on very high everything has that oddish glow around them, which you happen to notice.

Well that looks bad then..lol.. last time I checked in the real world things don't "glow".

its right in the mid, the tree tops have strange flickery dots if you watch closely

yeah sorry for the bad video first time using fraps on 1080p looking right to the boulder i can see flashing small squares and straight an head in the shadows of the trees maybe i should just rma the thing thanks for all the replies

If it only happens in Crysis 2 it's not a hardware problem.

If you look to that part of the screen with those trees that seem problematic, check the left edge of that zone. That is no artefacting but branches/leaves being moved by the wind. The distance to those objects just makes it look weird. Tip: if you think you see artefacts on or next to vegetation, always try to move towards it closely and recheck.
And there is no artefacting at the position you mention. The rock is shown properly in the video.

I see flickering artifacts in two places:
- rock in the right edge around ⅓ of the screen from top right at the edge of the screen.
- shadow in the bushes straight ahead (up and to the right from crosshair)

the only time crysis shows artifacts on my computer is when i OC my video card :\

meh, try underclocking your card a bit, i know its factory clocked but still?

Those little flashing boxes get worse as the duration of gameplay increase, artifacts right accross the screen seems to only happen in crysis 1 and Crysis 2. Anyway I am going to RMA the thing as a replacement hopefully Newegg doesn't give me a hard time about it. Crysis 1 is a couple years old now they driver should be sorted out by now.

The PCS+ cards by Powercolor are factory overclocked, so just try to set the clocks on the references settings to see whether that helps.

very true, but in dark room, without any other light sources, its pretty easy to observe
