At least it's not like G92 and G92b where the only difference was the die size and the late Hybrid SLi. (65nm to 55nm, which only gave little difference in power savings and cooling)

i remember back when GTX x60 released (260,460). both are awesome cards, but this 560? well i think you *almost* had it

No. It has the same core, it likely has (haven't checked) the same clocks and same vRAM configuration. Yes, AMD rebranded a card, oh what a shock! :eek:

it's not even got a retail released yet, so how do you its rebranded rather than an optimized version of the old chip.

i know everyone getting mad with these AMD renaming schemes which i know it sucks too, but at least from this point we knew that they can design a new "optimized" chip to run faster than the old ones.

just look back when 9800GTX+ got a new names (GTS 250). honestly, i didn't get shocked by that..

The card is at best buy dude. Check their site and go into the store and you will see it. I seen 4 of them last night when i was there looking over some cards. I have no plans to buy it tho, i could have, but i didn't.

this generation so reminds me of the G80-G92 era. Same cards with diff names, diff cards with the similar names, diff named cards that only variate by a few minute specification variations between the higher and lower end cards.

there supposed to be a GTX 565? i woulda thought they'd have activated the entire 384SPU's by now.

thats the GTX 560 Ti, 384 sp's 64 texture units. the 'vanilla' GTX 560 will have 336sp's exactly mimicing a GTX460's specs but with higher clocks and the tweaked GF114 core.

I would buy it if it wasn't the same card as the 5770. They should of least added a 900 core clock with 256bit. Releasing the same damn card under a different number is silly, everyone who works there needs to get slap or something. I mean, why even bother making it?

That will never happen. The core was not architecturally designed to have a 256-bit memory bus. About the clock, it's just a 50MHz bump. Nothing too spectacular.

Well, there isn't much info available, but from what I can gather the differences from the HD 5770 to the HD 6770 are -1 CFx finger, + HDMI 1.4a, superior price.
